Personally, my vote goes with Geomancer, then Serenguard, then Paladin.
Silvanus2005-02-16 02:03:58
Whoever voted Moondancer, give me one logical reason why they'd be the worst off?

They have no offense.
Drago2005-02-16 02:08:00
Hahaha.. oh wait, you're not joking..
Desdemona2005-02-16 02:08:20
Hey, you made Moondancer a choice... Maybe you should've had left it out
By the way... it wasn't me.
Really. I voted Serenguard.

They may get the crap in the damage, but Nihilists/Celestines do less damage, and Moondancers have better offense then Nihilists/Celestines, unless they choose healing.
Unknown2005-02-16 02:09:01
Meh. I'd get rid of all the skills between Broom and Toadcurse, then just give them pacts (Aside from the mother, maiden, and nymph).
Terenas2005-02-16 02:11:29
Not really, all the time I've fought Narsrim, all he could ever do was 1) try to moonburst me to death or 2) try to lash me to toadcurse . Whereas Nihilists/Celestines can give 1 mask affliction every 8 or so seconds, 2 with scourge/wrath, in addition to having three instantkills each, judgment, soulless, absolve or sacrifice, soulless, wrack. And don't forget the misc abilities like omen, numen, truechant, putre, etc. Definitely superior to Moondancers.
Shiri2005-02-16 02:12:07
...but...we don't do afflictions either. We do aeon, and the crone, and insomnia. That's IT.
EDIT: ...sleep, not insomnia. The point is that if we pick healing our afflictions are pants, and so are our damage things.

Narsrim must've not been doing anything, because, he has something like, aeon, spring, strips defences (not sure if thats spring or not), plus you have 11 ents (4-5 offence ones, I lost count) which helps, you take little no damage...
And Narsrim took healing.

Healing is rather useless offensively. Obviously. But I mean, we have no offence. Spring costs 700 mana and a tonne of eq. That hardly counts.
Silvanus2005-02-16 02:14:16
A crone can do as much afflictions as a demon, infact even more, though random, and it gives better ones (not sure on the timing), you have something that cannot be blocked (pooka), you can passively drain 500 mana, aeon has to be the best affliction there is.
Silvanus2005-02-16 02:14:47
You heal your 700 mana in a second, Narsrim bedeviled me 5 times in a row, and never, once, fell below half mana.
Daganev2005-02-16 02:15:24
I don't see "mine" as a voting choice, and thus I can not vote.
"Mine" is any guild I happen to be in at the moment.

Desdemona2005-02-16 02:15:46
Call me uninformed... but what was the difference between Moondancers when Lusternia was just released and now? I remember the panorama back then (and now a bit) of people constantly whaling at the Moondancers for being too overpoweredx100... and now I've started seeing Moondancers claim how they are more and more being downgraded onto nothing but a shadow of their former form.
Shiri2005-02-16 02:16:05
The mana drain is good, upon which we can finish with a toadcurse that...lets them escape. With no defs, but escape. At lightning speed. Invisibly.
And focus mind, eat calamus, drink fire, and crone is NO PROBLEM. That may sound like a lot of doing for one fae, but none of the other fae do afflictions except for...sleep. Whee. And aeon is preventable with quicksilver and curable with phlegmatic. It's good, but avoidable. Pooka, eh, that's good, but not awesome.

Tarot users have much better chance of aeoning than Moondancers since you can doublethrow, and Celestine can strip defenses whereas Nihilists can strip quicksilver.
Saying Narsrim took Healing doesn't really prove anything since Hexes suck anyway, according to all the Hex users out there.
Daganev2005-02-16 02:16:48
Silvanus, do I have permision to put "mine" as a choice?
Sekreh2005-02-16 02:17:47
dear god, must this be yet another thread about overpowered Moondancers?
God knows I voted for them, if you don't think your own class is underpowered you have problems. Or maybe the problem is that you don't have problems. Either way I conclude you're not normal.

At least hexes give us some sort of offense, though, eh. And Desdemona, we've barely been downgraded at all, but people have realised that only about 3 of our ents really...do anything. Whereas at the start it was like OMG 12 on one overpowered die Moondancers argh...yesh. =/
