What delayed instant kill is better? NOTHING! Chasm is the fastest, easiest to use, etc. You can make all the claims you want that it is second rate. Any decent fighter will tell you (including Amaru, ironically) that chasm rocks.

Tuek is right, the Hartstone demesne isn't so special if you have a decent system. I can cure everything so that not one affliction stacks easy.

Its not the demense its self Im worried about, its having good rune combos or whatever hartstone uses to back it up..

You have to have balls of steel to try and kill the chasm maker during it though wink.gif

Still, if someone is attentive and has tumble, chasm is not too likely to work. All the same, we've yet to see a geomancer fighter who illusions chasm constantly. Maybe if I ever go back to the geos wink.gif

You've gotten so use to only having to point your staff, you made a suggestion that does not take into account that rune slinging takes balance. They are better off becoming a Dracnari.

Honestly, I think any race that has a sipping penalty is a nightmare and not worth doing but sure.

Naw, the health makes up for the sip penalty. Besides, they are already use to the sip penalty.

I don't find runes very useful, on the whole. Many many people cure well enough to render them useless.

Runes and illusions are the backbone to my fighting. I do not generate enough damage with staff alone to hope to take out most people without the use of both of the above.

Being the lazy mage that I am, I rarely put up a demesne outside of the arena. If I did not use runes and illusions to harass and slow down my opponent, I would go down quickly to warrior damage.

Because a tactic that requires little skill is the quickest way for me to kill someone, it somehow invalidates any talents I might have as a fighter?

Were I, say, a knight, you'd see.
