...ah, whoops. I wonder where I got that impression then. Probably the misleading name.

That doesn't add up, that makes 33. Admittedly I got my timer wrong (I always used to think it was a 24 day lunar month, 5 each way plus the four points) but isn't it only null on the new moon?

My bad, unuseable 3 hours a day, not 4. And I don't think it works on the First Quarter, Last Quarter, and New Moon.

I love being Igasho. Great constitution and strength with little drawback. The mana's low, but you can find ways to mimic abilities (so as to not drain so much mana) or regenerate the mana. There certainly aren't many of us in the realms, and I think I'd prefer it that way. Heh.

I´ve been thinkin about it and I sorta like the idea of rage... I could be a dracnari wiccan and just chill on some volcano basking and rage people every once and a while just hoping they come up and fight me...
Shiri2005-02-21 22:36:04
Wrong. Rage, despite Visaeris and all his hype eons ago, is really not that great. (Unless you get lucky and strike full moon.)

It requires 5 people. Moonburst, an attack that does maybe 1k-1.2k damage on double equilbrium, waning (aeon attack) and dark moon (don't even think about it) can be fired through it, in the local area at night (30 days out of 32), worldwide (1) or not at all (1). It can be blocked by a shield, the coven moving, or going indoors/underground. It's been used effectively like 4 times, ever.

So, yeah, your idea wouldn't work, since it requires loads of people, there's a huge bloody moon warning thing, and stuff.

Also there are no volcanos. Anyway.
Shryke2005-02-21 22:56:41
so do dracnari ever get to reegen?
Shiri2005-02-21 23:32:39
Not yet they don't. They (almost) certainly will when Gaudiguch comes, though that's a couple RL years away at the very least.

o Regenerate health and mana while in volcanic environments, Level 2.

Almost? tongue.gif

Yes, almost. I mean, it's POSSIBLE that Gaudiguch won't have volcanos or volcanic regions nearby or anything of the sort. tongue.gif

Geomancers pick Master Viscanti (have human or something until you can get master), if you dont like viscanti you can always hide your race while keeping the attributes with changeself.

Aquamancer pick Merians, they are by far the best as far as intelligence goes but mugwumps also benefit from water and can cast faster so Mugwumps are a fair option.

Hartstone the elfen are the best by far but Faelings are alright, they are quite good if sparring is not your one and only love.

Really any race will do for any though, the Dracnari can take alot of damage and the Trill make fairly good mages striking from above, no doubt these will get a revamp when the other cities open. There are a few other races with good intelligence like the Aslarn but if you dont want to do anything but cast magic stick with the races that are fairly unique to your city.

and dracnari do regen when they are basking in the sun... Really Dracnari will come into their own when the Pyromancers come out. That will give them Demenses and they will probubly be really good fighters with fire magic and their high health (probubly they will lose a couple of that when they take the mage path and gain some intel).
