People tell me bonecrusher is better, though I suspect that's simply because most have chosen blademaster. Still, I have some questions about the blademasterness as I'm considering changing over.

Like, does puncture lung cause endurance loss, prevent smoking things or both? And how is it different from collapse lungs?

Though if you insist on being one, bonecrusher is vastly superior. Blademaster's effects are mostly delayed and curable by a single herb.

I believe punctured lungs prevent smoking, collapsed lungs is the advanced stage, but requires puncture lungs in the first place to be pulled off. Only collapsed/crushed chest given by Bonecrushers can drain endurance. If you want better damage, better afflictions, and better trans skill, go with Bonecrushers, if you want pitiful damage, crap afflictions, and waste of 10 powers Haymaker go with Blademaster.

Forget afflictions, if knights can't damage, they can't kill. Most people have highly cutting-biased armour, so...

So what you're saying is Bonecrusher is 100 times better than Blademaster, hands down. That seems a bit unbalanced, though.

I think Bladesmastery is better against people without Parry, but otherwise Bonecrusher is better.

Blademaster is cooler.
One of these days cutting off people's ears and scalps will mean something.

When I was first a bonecrusher and -everyone- else was a blademaster, I was rather dissapointed that every riposte gave blademasters an immediate side affect. While bonecrushers had to work hard for thiers.

I'd rather see Blademasters get some minor upgrades than having people pick the skillset for non RP puposes.

I used to hate fighting blademasters. I'd get stuff cut off, and have 300 or so bleeding.

Then again, I was draining thier endurance to zero, and pulping them, so... *twiddle*

It's far easier to be good with Bonecrusher than with Blademaster, that's not to say you can't be very good with Blademaster, just that it's more difficult. However I argree with Ceres and Amaru, unfortunatly, now that people can cure worth anything, Knights have a rough time against the upper echelon of combatants. Though we can still kill bad fighters easier than other archtypes, so that's something.........

On a totally unrelated note, Ixion does 2000+ damage to me per combo with stoneskin up and 67/36 greatrobes.

Yeah, this is what bothers me most about the whole thing. I have a MUCH easier time dealing with bad Celestines than bad warriors, as a fairly bad fighter myself, because of the fact I don't have trans combat/resilience et al. You might not be best at the top, but best in the middle. :/ Wish it were possible to balance that, but it kinda isn't except by nerfing resilence & combat a LOT and giving some of the ability lost to everyone in general. So to speak. Which isn't gonna happen.
