If you afflict with a hit you do extra damage as well.
Like when it cuts your thigh it does about 50-150 (for me an aslaran) less the hitting the artery.

Unknown2005-03-10 14:44:40
If they go bonecrusher.. they put the bone in bone crushing...
Shryke2005-03-10 23:22:05
that doesn't really make sense...
can anyone give some plusses and minus's? for example can ppl put rebounding and shield up before I can raze again, because thats sorta what I'm worried about...

Taurian axe blademaster. Effectively the same strength as Tae'dae, a good bit faster and I can already take off about 1400 health and 20 wound per blow combo with dwarven axes. Once I get good enough axes, and trans combat, things should get to be even more fun.

When I was a Taurian, I could get to 18 strength, 20 when enraged but it lasts for less than a minute and it requires a 2 sec balance to put up. So most of the time I didn't bother with it. Whereas a Tae'dae can get to 21 at all times, with bear, geburah and flex.

You get blademaster affects with axes? or are you just bashing with them?
Unknown2005-03-11 05:34:24
No, just wounding damage currently. Not sure if blademaster does allow for axes or not, I suppose they are single handed cutting weapons though.
Unknown2005-03-11 05:35:50
Oh, and it seems that Enrage lasts longer the more you remain in combat, sort of on a timer. I've kept rage up for about 5 minutes through constant bashing.
Daganev2005-03-11 05:48:13
I would only suggest going Tae'dae if you want you RP being the strongest race, not if you want to do the most damage, because you will be dissapointed.
Shryke2005-03-12 01:14:24
wouldn't most strength=most damage? (Also how is the lev 3 faster sipping, bucause thats one of the main selling points)
Ixion2005-03-12 01:31:01
most strength doesn't mean most damage. Compare aslarans and tae'dae. Aslarans hit twice as fast (or just over twice as fast with nice hammers/rapiers) as tae'daes with doing well over half the damage. Thus, tae'dae are better for the initial swings, but shortly after aslarans do more damage per unit time- all the while afflicting more with venoms
Gwylifar2005-03-12 02:00:44
It's true. My swords are not very good on damage but I still do almost as much damage as people with far better swords. (In a group hunt, it also means I take more damage, since critters hit whoever hit them last and that's more often me than anyone else, which is fun.)
Tae'dae are more about being able to take a lot of damage than deal it out.
