Have a once per year spawn of one insanely powerful creature, (at least equal to a demon lord). Make it able to Great Pentagram rooms, and block all exits when someone enters, if it is a group, only the leader can enter. Have the creature give an honors line, and drop some sort of unique item, about artifact class, with no decay time, but have it not reset back into someone's inventory.

Spawned from the residue of the spirits of the long ago sealed Soulless, emerging to wreak havoc upon the world.

Honours lines for quests are fine, but for ubermobs its stupid because its just a luck of the draw on who gets in the last hit.

That is when someone decides to horde about 50 people to go after one quest mob (often turning to Deathsight spam). But there are some people capable of going solo a quest mob, or at the very least with 1-2 good (powerful) friends.

Heh, ixion, thats actually the reason why I havn't done any of the honours quests. The only I have done is spectre isle. And there, I use very bad and simple logic to complete the quest.

there is nothing more fun than RP being stupid while doing a quest where that method of being stupid actually helps.

i'm not sure how I can explain it without giving to much info way, but lets just say , i hit the same thing over and over again untill it works.

I think it's stupid when you see something like this...

Viscount Kaervas d'Murani, the Ascendant Fury (Male Master Viscanti).
He is 39 years old, having been born on the 7th of Estar, 71 years after the
Coming of Estarra.
He is ranked 7th in Lusternia.
He is an extremely credible character.
He is the Fist of Luciphage in the Nihilists.
He is a Planeswalker in the Fellowship of Explorers
He is a mentor and able to take on proteges.
His warcry: 'Feel the wrath of Nil!'
He is considered to be approximately 75% of your might.
He has been engaged to be married to Veonira Ilyenaht, the Earth Wench for 84
months.
He is a founder of the d'Murani family.
He passed the challenges of the Tosha Monastery.
He is an official cartographer of Lusternia.
He resurrected Mighty Crow, the scourge of Glomdoring.
He is an honoured Caregiver to the tae'dae cubs in Estelbar.
He did release the ship of the dead to plague the Inner Sea.
He is an Honorary Shepherd of the Rocks.
He has scribed the tales of old Celest into the Tome of Remembrance.
He is a Slave Master of Angkrag. In Acknor, he helped the orcs raise a new chieftain.
He did become the first Planeswalker in the realm.
He solved the mysterious murder at Stewart Mansion.

I try for the honours quests which are good-aligned, and look good (no carebears for me). So far I have just the Crown quest which I actually want to do.. along with Hallifax which is just too much effort.

I wish there was a way to get rid of some special honors lines, I only did that quest because I liked the style of it, you had to figure out which toys and pills went with each cub and only got a few hints about it.

I kind've like the idea of absurdly powerful monsters occasionally emerging to wreck havoc upon occasion. I don't like the idea of them dropping undecaying items, though. Getting an honours line for the mobs and the experience should be enough.

I like Ak's idea of the random insanely strong honours mob, though it shouldn't be as strong as a demon Lord damage wise, though health wise maybe. A bit less damage would make it more practical for less tanky, but still strong, classes. Like Merian Celestines, or Viscanti Nihilists. Instead of only tae'dae/Igasho/Lobo Knights being the only ones who can tank the damage given each round.
