Well, I keep hearing about polls on these boards being inaccurate, but I have my doubts. So, here's a poll with a measurable in-game demographic that can be viewed via TOPGUILDS. After a few weeks, we'll add up the TOPGUILDS of each city/commune, and compare the votes we have here to the proportion in game. If the two match up, we'll know board polls are reasonably accurate and thus more faith can be put into them by the administration (I guess.) If not, well, whatever.

So, let's have a look. Or, uh, some maths guy can point out why this won't help, if appropriate, but I hope not. *cough* :/

Topguilds scores aren't a direct reflection of population either.

I think that trying to measure the demographic of Lusternia would be much less accurate than any other type of polls, because the fact that not everyone who plays Lusternia visits the forums has much more weight. Also, you left rogues out, even when they may be a small number, I think it is nonethless something worthy of estimating if you are trying to make a population census.

*mutter* Okay, I'll put rogues in. But Des, you're missing the point. I'm not trying to accurately measure the demographic, I'm trying to measure how accurate the forum polls are in comparison to the realm VIA measuring the demographic. Unless I'm just misunderstanding you. (I can see how there would be another point in there, but it looks wrong. )

EDIT: No, wait, I'm not going to put rogues in, because it's totally irrelevant. Rogues don't show up on topguilds, and as I say this isn't intended to measure anything but the relative accuracy of polls, so there really isn't a need.

Yeah, but you can't make an accurate comparison when leaving a piece of the pie out, I think... nor by overlooking that not everyone from Lusternia will vote on your poll. Though, it may provide a brief estimate. Anyhow, good for placing rogues in the poll, can you now place Privileged Taurian Residents as another option?

Edit: Made a correction. And Shiri, there are privileged Taurian residents, we just need more Taurians.... so folks could you reincarnate?

*confused* Well, I've added rogues, because I missed the part where they can still show up in topguilds and thus screw up results. But they'll probably be small and not matter, hm. I think I should just start this again but with the guilds. :/ And we don't HAVE any privileged Taurian residents.
