Someone explain to me this whole "I'll trade you, thing?" Obviously you wouldn't trade, otherwise you'd be that class.
Shiri2005-02-20 21:11:16
Well, apart from the whole "being in a pretty good guild, just with bad skills" and "having a fairly good skillset apart from 1-2 useless things which are the ones I want to trade" thing.
Silvanus2005-02-20 21:12:15
And the whole, "Roleplay" thing.

I'd still take Hartstone/Aquamancer's demesne over Geomancers, Hartstone/Aquamancer's demesne makes it nearly impossible to move through as a group, Geomancers you could still, although its a bit harder and takes a tad bit longer. All you have to do is stand up.

No, your demesne is the best of the bunch now. You have stun, prone, possible broken limbs, solid exit blocking, rubble exit blocking, and an insta-kill. Geomancers no longer have a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining that their demesne is the weakest anymore.
Silvanus2005-02-21 01:29:21
Wow.. you've got to be kidding me. Have you ever fought in a Hartstone's demesne who's in it and is trying to kill you? Fuse gyfu, all afflictions, sap, and you'll almost be perma-aeoned.
Aquamancer's demesne is impossible to get out of, with the whole tsunami thing not letting you move into a certain room, or stripping waterwalk. Plus stunning and freezing, plus an Aquamancer can fuse gyfu, phantoms.

I have fought in an aquamancer full demesne (gyfu fused, phantoms and illusions) and had no problems dealing with the demesne effects. Logs of the fights are around here somewhere. Tsunami only knocks prone and gives a bit of damage (you have an ability that knocks prone and gives stun now). You have pretty much the same offensive abilities in your demesne (besides icefloe), but you also have an insta-kill. You also have all of the tools to pull off said insta-kill with ease (Heck, you already had all of the skills to do it but did not use them to full effect). So yes, your demesne is the best of the bunch when all variables are accounted for.
Silvanus2005-02-21 01:56:07
Lodestone knocks off eq 2 seconds out of every 10 seconds. Jellies is 3 seconds out of every 8 seconds. And no, no, no. Hartstone's demesne is still more powerful then Geomancers. Yes, Geomancers is much better, but it is still the worst.
Unknown2005-02-21 01:59:01
All demesne effects are on the same 9-10 second timer. All infused runes are on a slightly longer timer. Therefore, Jellies happens every 9-10 seconds, and so does lodestone. Also, Jellies is a 2 second stun.

Jellies is 2 to 3 seconds out of a 10 second cycle. I have a little timer alias and triggers I used to time the cycle time of all of my abilities.
Bah! You darn forum masters! I need to learn to respond faster...
Unknown2005-02-21 02:09:58
Also, the reason I listed a range, is because while the formulas used in the code might state demesnes cycle on a 9.543 second cycle, due to latency you can never tell, and you will see a range between 9-10. It doesn't vary at all, it is a set amount, however lag causes it to appear to vary.
Revan2005-02-21 02:10:31
I'm happier with my demesne now than I was before. I have yet to test it out to its full potential, but I'm quite certain that things will be alot easier.
Unknown2005-02-21 04:22:34
I don't mean to be crude, or harsh in any way, but personally, methinks that the Geomancer Demesne is pretty lame, and that the Aqua Demesne and Serenwilde Demesne are pretty overpowered. How about we equal them out some, hmm?
Elryn2005-02-21 04:55:04
By the way, the changes to Wicca are wonderful! I'd like to add my thanks to the Divine for working on a much maligned skillset.
Just a shame they all start to happen a few hours after I leave.

Narsrim = Transcendent in Whining.

So that means Narsrim is Khaseem from Achaea? That explains EVERYTHING!
Silvanus2005-02-21 05:44:14
Narsrim was from Aetolia, and we did whine a lot.

Faereturn is forceable? Great, that's a huge weakness now. And it looks like it's an all-at-once thing, too.
Silvanus2005-02-21 06:13:37
How's that a huge weakness...? I might be missing something..
Daganev2005-02-21 06:19:56
you can force them to get rid of all thier ents. Its not a huge weakness though because everyone knows thier ents are weaksauce right?

weaksauce... classic!
But remember, while they aren't terribly powerful, they -are- the heart of our offence. At least in terms of afflictions.
Edit: Oops, that would be 'their', not 'our'.
