I'm afraid it doesn't get more useful at later stages, Seraphi. Sorry to disappoint you.

Whoa. So should I not take it?
Gwylifar2005-02-25 02:00:44
I'll say this. If I could find any IC justification to take something else, if I had it to do over again, I would. If it were possible to forget it and keep half the lessons while moving to some other trade skill I could even remotely justify IC, I would.

poisons is the only tradeskill worse than cooking in Magnagora, worse than forging for mages, worse than eh, it just sucks.

Then why don't we make a new one, and subsitute it in? Giving back full lessons to all Poisonists?

I switched to forging, but I suppose jewelry might be a good idea.

Because the poisons are still necessary. (Or helpful, anyway.) I guess what should really happen if a complete overhaul is recommended would be gathering poisons into certain groups (the blindness one, the eye opening one) rather like healing, and then sticking in abilities like smokebombs where you can make balls of poison gas. The trade is still there, and by necessity a player trade given that unlike other IRE games Lusternia's economy is 100% player-orientated, but the point is that it's just not up to scratch with others.

What I'm saying is it needs upgrades, not replacing.

Yeah. A few misc. skills in it would be good, poisonbomb, dripping poisons in a room, or drinks or something.

Or just more poisons. Anorexia's needed, really.

So find me an experimental alembic already! I'm working on it!
