And I'm really into Carnivale lately (HBO series). Already on disk 4 of the first season, started the thing last week.

Oh my god! I love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!!!! (But yeah, the third movie was pretty crappy). I used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid even.


And The Goonies! Such a good movie too!

I loved TMNT as a kid

I happened to like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The eye candy was great.

The Final Fantasy anime stunk amazingly. I'm a FF fan, and I couldn't finish the series. 12 episodes, I just couldn't take it.

Shiri, you've missed out on nothing.

I'll watch FF:AC of course, but I'll be crossing my fingers that it's done well. I'd hate to see FF7 besmirched by a ruined CG movie.

Final Fantasy: Advent Children... I think it's going to be great, or it better be

Yeah, you probably never heard about it because it wasn't any good. FFAC will be good, because the story of FF7 is good, so that gives you a background for AC. Spirits Within just..eh..it was okay. It had a good theme song, but the story itself wasn't that good, and obviously it can't be as good as a story that's developed over a 50+ hour RPG game.

And I was a TMNT fan too. I had a little April action figure so I could play with my brothers .

Funny you should say that.. Spirits within was based on the back story found in FF7 and how the whole Jehovah project even got started. Its just Dune like in that its thousands of years later or something, but thats the general "religion" of the FF games.

Atleast that was my understanding of that movie.

I thought it was great because it used CG in a way that only CG could be used.

Are you serious? No wonder I had no idea what the hell was going on. I'll have to watch it again.

The CG is great of course, no complaints there.

What did you think the "sprits within" was about?

I knew about FFAC, but that's not the anime people are talking about, I gather.

Apart from Sprits Within, there was a Final Fantasy anime. It had 12 episodes or so, most people who watched it didn't like it (never seen it personally, so I don't have an opinion). I believe they used to summon... summons/espers/whatever with some special bullets.

hehe, Jenovah sounds better, was always confused by that. Or maybe I use to call it Jehovah to mock them, I don't remember. But yeah.

I watched an episode of FF anime, it was bad... I got so excited to when I saw it was an option to watch. I don't think I was able to watch it for more than 15 minutes.

Meh. Depressing. Anyone know a place where it's seeded for BitTorrent clients in case I ever feel like trying it anyway? (Hell, I played Mystic Quest, might as well go all the way. )

IT reminded me of those bad 80's cartoons, and its slower than DBZ. Probably would have enjoyed it better if it wasn't called Final Fantasy unlimited. i.e. It wasn't called Final Fantasy at all. I guess based on the manuals of the games I was expecting better artwork. though when they use special affects its kinda cool, but the charachters are drawn so flat that it jars out too much.
