Well, this is really in the infancy stages, and any and all suggestions are welcome. I've been working on this for a couple days now, and plan on working on it a bit more. PLEASE give me input. Harsh or not.

Elementalist

Arcaana
--Summoning
Defense
--(some specialization I don't know the name of yet)
Healing or Hexes (Up for debate)

Arcaana
-----------------
Summon Summons one elemental soul to do your bidding.
Low powered Elemental being who helps fight a little, and provides damage dampening shield. Cannot be razed, but does not block attacks. Users would start out with this skill. SUMMON SOUL

Fire Sphere Creates a sphere of fire to burn your foes.
Low damaged hunting skill. Users would start out with this skill. SUMMON SPHERE

Enter the rest of the Elemental skills here except for Waterbreathe.

Elemental Weave Weave an Elemental Tapestry to cleanse yourself.
Clears up two random afflictions. 3 POWER of any sort. SUMMON WEAVE ME
SUMMON WEAVE

Light Sphere*** Summon a sphere of elemental Light
Summons light to clear up the darkest places.
SUMMON LIGHT
PLACE LIGHT IN LATERN
DROP SPHERE/ORDER SPHERE FOLLOW ME

MASTER SPECIALIZATION -- Summoning
----------------------------------------------------------
Summoning The Ability to summon major souls. (Automatic ability upon specializatin.

User can only have one soul at a time.
Water Soul Grants the User Waterwalk
Fire Soul User can not take damage from Fire Attacks
Earth Soul Allows Burrowing
Air Soul Grants Flying

Greater Elemental Avatar Summon your Avatar (Can be named, Same one over and over)
Allows user to summon all four souls above and fuse them into an Avatar.
Benefits: Water Walking, Fire Resistance, Flying, Burrowing, Minor Damage Dampener, Reflection (Takes hits aimed at you until its dead), Curing of Random Afflictions at a slow, but continous speed.
Low Health, Lasts Until it dies, or you leave the realms. Can only be summoned once every Lusternian Month (From time of its death)(this needs advice. I tried making it so that people who manage to preserve the avatar can't keep it alive for a month, then when it dies at that point, immediatly summon it again. It's not necessarily advantegeous.)

Elemental Manifestation
Transfer your soul from your body, to you Avatars. Can stay manifested after death of body. When the body is alive, it incurs loss of balance and equilibrium, as well as a continous Mana usage. If body is alive when manifesting, the body falls prone. Takes 1 minute to manifest, takes one minute to unmanifest. If dead, user can only stay in the Avatar for 5 or 10 minutes. If body is alive, can only stay in the Avatar 5 minutes or you will die. (Need some advice in this. An auto soul retrieve or someothing? How are they going to know when five minutes is up unless they time it on a watch or something, and then they can't pay attention to whatever is going on.) If the avatar is killed while the soul is in it, the same thing happens as in a mortal death situation.

Still preparing the second skill list. I'll add it when it's finished. In the mean time, any suggestions on the name of the second?

Healing or Hexes would be the same as any Healing or Hexes skill

***New Item Idea: Lantern. Is created by a forger (metal latern) depending on type of metal etc. takes different commodities.

Another Idea: At night time in Lusternia, everything dims so that you can't make out clearly who is at each location unless you have special search abilities like so many do. Names would show up... for a Tae'Dae for instance, 'A large form slouches here' or something along those lines.. maybe having to do with size and nature of the creature. Since Faelings have wings, then, 'A small shady form flits around here."
Also can't see exits. With a Lantern, you can see the exits. Latern must be lit by an Elementalist though. Tinder boxes wouldn't work (Or everyone could use them).
Also, for people with high enough city rank, they can make a lantern, and put it on a post of some sort and stake them throughout the city so that things are visible during night time. The pole might be a 'Sturdy pole of Steel' or something like that. Can be destroyed by enough damage perhaps.

Don't think I forgot anything. Critisize away!

What place of residence would this go in? It wouldn't make sense to put an all elements guild in anything but... nah, they'd never go for that...

Have you been spending too much time in the Elemental Temple? tongue.gif

Anyway, keep up the ideas. No one may listen, and they may never be implemented, but hey, we can dream. wink.gif *duck*

It looks like an odd rip-off of Magi, from what I see, because they summoned elemental beings. And why would they use healing or hexes? Many of the Mage Archtype use the Illusion skill, I do not think it makes sense for something that looks like a Mage to use healing or hexes.
Unknown2005-02-25 01:34:19
Richter: Where you going to say Deepnight? If not, nevermind...

Jasper: I was kind of thinking that too. The thing I'm trying to do is pull away from the typical Magi type thing though, so I tried mixing it up a bit. Illusions would make them to close to Magi classes, thus defeating my purpose. As for the summoning of Elemental creatures, it's different. Currently, the magi skill sets focus on doing things with the magic to damage people, or demesne powers. I was toying with the name Summoners as they mainly summon things. My first name was Arcaanists, but I didn't want it to shadow the Achaean guild...
Gryphor2005-02-25 03:13:22
i think they should bring out another guild with warriors with polearms and or hand combat

they should be able to disarm well to tho

pure fighters, magic and healing classes have been done to death every class has some of these elements in them but Id like to see classes a little on the edge of these. I really hope any new city that goes in has completely new classes not just different flavors of the same type.

Below is my short wishlist Id like to see made into subset skills.

Gnome combat engineering
devices both small and large from pittraps to ballistas and catalpults. Of course their main weapon would be a crossbow.

Heavy Cavalry
Use of mounts to aid in combat....dunno how close this would be to the current riding skill set since I dont have it but its self explanitory.

Psionisists
Mind over matter.

Golem Construction
like all the other summoning classes except they make golems, everything from paper, to rock or clay, water or any other odd material.

Warrior Arts
like the healing class but an offensive class of skills that give the user knowledge in the warrior arts and gives them bonus's in combat.

Richter2005-02-25 06:30:34
And heck, we could make stick +1's.
Akraasiel2005-02-25 11:32:48
I would make a class that integrated bonecrushers, athleticism, and tarot. If an Aslaran ever joined, it would be insanely overpowered.
Daganev2005-02-25 11:35:24
Guild of humiliation.
Main weapon... a rolled up newspaper.
Armour.. ... Clown shoes, overalls, and a tophat.
Skills... Paper, dirt, children's toys and other such skills and spells that do WAY TOO MUCH DAMAGE and each hit gives 3 afflictions, without messages.

God damn! Just give me feedback! Make another post for all this censor.gif.

EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~
Soll2005-02-25 18:15:48
I like the idea, though it needs fine-tuning alot. And more skills, from what I can see. Lots more skills.
Shiri2005-02-25 18:33:29
I don't know, the concept's just out of place. The Nexi are very seperate, and the Elements aren't really mixable like that. (Or, if as is arguable they are mixable, then it's as the Ethereal, and not just broken apart for a jack-of-all-trades type thing that goes any further than basic elementalism.)
Soll2005-02-25 18:35:41
Hmm, I suppose that's true...A few cool ideas, anyway, even if it's not introduced.
Unknown2005-02-26 01:59:25
blush.gif Sorry Shiri, didn't know that was counted as a bad word...

And I agree, it needs fine tuning, but perhaps this sort of idea can be introduced when a whole new, unheard of city or commune comes into existant, that utilizes all elements.
Shiri2005-02-26 02:08:24
A city or commune wouldn't just "come into existence" like that...why would it? (And it definately wouldn't be a Commune, because they're centred around the trees, not the elements.) If anything, it would have to be a fifth element, not all 4. It just doesn't work with the Lusternian Planar setup, if nothing else.

Oh, and I've actually had a couple people question me over whether that was a bad word or not, and some people saying I should censor "**** you to hell." But over here, the former is swearing, the latter isn't. I guess it's just different in America, so to avoid all the mods you'll just have to skip both. wink.gif
Unknown2005-02-26 05:53:48
Ah. How about shazbot? Is that ok?

And I think, after jogging my memory, that for some reason that word is offensive to the British.

As to the commune things, perhaps it could be this glorius RP, where a new God appears, not one of the ELder or Vernal, and creates his/her own plane, and city most likely. It would certainly be interesting...
Shiri2005-02-26 15:58:24
If it is offensive to the British, I didn't know about it. So you're safe unless another mod thinks it's offensive. tongue.gif And...I really don't think the new plane/city thing would even work, let alone is going to happen. (Hallifax and Gaudiguch aren't gonna come around for a while yet, let alone anything completely random which didn't even feature in the histories. Besides, we already have a potential of 7 places, counting Ackleberry, which most people seem to (for a fairly good reason) discount. Looking at Achaea's 6, and its playerbase, it's just not going to happen in Lusternia.)
Unknown2005-02-26 16:42:33
I suppose.... but it COULD!
Typhus2005-03-02 19:05:51
Build it, and they will come.
