See, now you're misrepresenting what I'm saying.

Question: has Gorgulu been downgraded? The few times that I was in parties trying to kill him it took us many many people to do it and most of us died atleast once or twice along the way, also.
Shiri2005-02-26 01:19:29
I'm not quite sure. But Lazul has about 7k health (I think he was surged, anyway), Narsrim has about 5k, Lazul was tanking, he was puella-ing madly, I was farhealing 2.5k a shot from a few rooms away (with health, sparkleberry, mercy, and Shinza and Aether puella-ing ME, so about as fast as I could get), and it still took us a fair long while. But it would have looked easier because when you guys attacked (i.e Quidgyboo), you got pwned by the room attacks, which you're just not tanky enough for. Whereas Lazul and Narsrim are, especially with farhealing going on at max speed and all the healing he was doing.

Mmm fair enough. I know my char was basically going on a suicide mission but I assumed we had a few decent tankers there with us too. We hade a heck of a lot of people. Oh well.
Shiri2005-02-26 02:24:59
I can only assume you're referring to the time you were in the same group as me going up there, but you might have been up a different time as well. Yes, we did have a few good tankers, but the room attacks just mess that up. They weren't THAT good. (There was a distinct lack of warriors, as I recall.)

I was in a few groups going against him, but yeah that is one that I am thinking of.

Anyway, Estarra apparently got back to Lazul and said no bugs were being abused when Gorgulu was killed by two people but that it was not imagined that two people would ever be strong enough to do that. So, I think he will be made stronger or something.
Kharvik2005-02-26 05:35:33
Two people taking down a Demon Lord shouldn't be possible. Thats like making it bashing material which it definitely should not be... Surely you (as in Narsrim, Shiri, and Lazul) cant think that's right?

At the time, we didn't think nothing of it. Good critical hits, good healing.. consider the Realm of Achaea.. people can now kill Yudhishthira with but the aid of someone to brazier them (or at least they could as of my last visit to said Realm). All it took was a good strategy.

Such was what we thought would be our case. We had a great strategy (that even Lady Estarra will attest to) and patience. We just kept ourselves alive and whittled away at him, and it took awhile. So no.. we didn't think much of it.

When Lady Estarra sent me Her reply on the issue, as stated on the General board, I made the decision to stand down from further raids on Nil, because it is simply not right to take advantage of a misweave. And I will hold to my word. I won't attack any more until this has been given the chance to have a good looking over by the Divinities to make sure all is in order.

After that.. well.. all's fair game again.

I'm curious. And I don't mean to troll. Why would you want to kill a Demon Lord? Is that the only way to attack the Necromante like Gorgulu did?
Soll2005-02-26 08:32:09
It also removes any pledges made by Nihilists, so they can't use the powers given by that Lord in battle until you revive the him or her, and re-pledge.
Drago2005-02-26 08:50:11
Don't forget powerdrain.
Soll2005-02-26 09:09:28
Oh yeah, that 1k power drain every day is great. drool.gif
Eldanien2005-02-27 05:30:27
1k? Maybe it did that much to the Megalith, I don't know. Celest gained 500 per attack.
