Is it just me, or does the current position of Magnagora remind you of Celest in the beginning? At the bottom of topguilds, constantly being raided, people quitting for other places (namely Serenwilde), their cosmic beings being slain, their power quests being disrupted, their nexus defenses crumbling, yeah, this seems like Celest all over again.
Unknown2005-02-25 17:10:29
Um, I guess?
I think you're right on about topguild statuses, but I didn't know people where leaving for Serenwilde...
Maybe Magnagorans are seeing that the combined powers of New Celest and Serenwilde will eventually overcome the city... it may be in 70 years, but it will still probably happen.

Yeah. When you stole our Supernals...
Kinda funny, all the same, though. Switched the positions around

It's almost disheartening to see. The mighty Magnagorans are hardly what they formerly were, with Valek and Daevos overseeing to all. It all started with that war. They should have never tried raising the Crow. The Serens would have never aligned with New Celest. We wanted nothing to do with either city on a political level. I blame Nikua for giving Mag a false sense of security in the Serenwilde..and well, I blame Lord Fain for pushing His people to raise the Crow which ignited a war with us..and essentially pushed us to assist New Celest as we did. Our objective became: See Mag fall. I wonder how things would have turned out had Kaervas (and whoever else) never attemped to raise the Crow.
The Mags are formidable adversaries. Some of the most dedicated people I've seen come out of that city, but I'm not sure where they're headed now. Right now, Gorgaliel is giving them a bit of trouble..to say the least.

The whole tainted event crap was started with the sole purpose of taking the heat off of Celest (and was the only reason I was 'for' it). Maybe an event can be started for Celest to piss Seren off now?
From now on, being nice to opposing players is off. I've always been a 'nice guy' even when playing someone with f-ed up morals like Rexali. I, Vincent, don't like overkill, stealing, etc., but I'm slowly ceasing to care.

And just a brief note - Magnagora destroyed Celest singlehandedly. It takes Celest+Seren alliance (it can be called no less thing when Amaru+Narsrim+Tuek+other Celestians are constantly seen together) to destroy the Magnagoran playerbase.
Unknown2005-02-25 17:45:43
Thank you for that, Rexali. You can stop making half-assed attempts at justifying why Magnagora is now on the losing end of things now. It is my opinion that Magnagora has gotten much too used to being on the winning side of things. Learn to live with losing, just like we did for the first two months of Lusternia.
Veonira2005-02-25 17:45:51
Yeah, it 's really making the game sucky. It's great to work for hours and have that mentality that you're FINALLY going to fix what's all messed up, only to have ONE PERSON ruin all of it. If this goes on much longer, you're going to see the only important people (as in, the ones who are working their asses off to fix things) in Magnagora start quitting also. Won't that be fun.
Jack2005-02-25 17:46:11
Add Glomdoring.
Then Serenwilde will be preoccupied.
Because we all know it's only people like Narsrim and Tuek that can kill Gorgulu, anyway.

It's going to take some time to add Glom in.. The same goes for Gaudiguch and Hallifax. Patience!

That's a stupid comparision. That was in the first few weeks/months, JUST after Beta: things are supposed to be dynamic to begin with. This is MONTHS afterwards: over three months, to be precise.
And I also remember that you guys whined incessantly until things changed. Rest assured, I'll do likewise.
Unknown2005-02-25 17:56:27
No, I am not calling you a liar. I'm just getting sick of you posting in a vain attempt at making it seem like Magnagora deserved better than what they have now.
Unknown2005-02-25 17:57:24
Then you're just stooping down to their level Jack...
Jack2005-02-25 17:57:34
You're saying we deserve to become Mhaldor II because we had good fighters and organisation to begin with?
EDIT - Directed at Etanru. And yes, yes I am, Seraphi.

I say denerf Magnagora, and let Rowena refill health and mana for 300 per without needing herbs. Upgrade Ladantine to near Marilynth strength, upgrade Gorgulu to be equal to Razelia, and make wasshername come to his aide.
Soll2005-02-25 18:13:25
Nifilhema?
Jack2005-02-25 18:17:01
Considering Gorgaliel and Nifilhema used to be mates, Her coming to His aid would make sense.

Hey, what is wrong with Mhaldor? It has always been a city with great potential and unfortunately found itself in the past with far too many enemies (the rest of Sapience ).
Dumb question, are you Jack from Achaea?
Anyhow, it is a bit sad to see Magnagora be most powerful and then appereantly diminish in strength, but it is cool at the same time because shows realms being completely dynamic. Maybe Magnagorans should go get Visaeris, again and have him get things back in order.
