Gorgulu isn't protected by the Demon Lords, Raziela isn't protected by the Supernals. They are basically equivalent. Learn to deal, as we did years ago.
Jack2005-02-25 18:34:58
The argument "it happened to us, WE got through" is childish and foolish to cite in this situation, given that you guys complained non-stop and things were eventually amended in such a manner to avoid your City being utterly destroyed.
And nope, Desdemona, not Achaea Jack. The 113th Lusternian to ask me that, but the 1st on the forums - good job.
EDIT - And I have no problem whatsoever with the Supernals protecting Raziela. I understand why she isn't protected (the Supernals believing she's too pretty for anyone to attacked, being protected by her 'impenetrable' shield, etc), but it does seem a little strange that she doesn't at least call for help. I'm sure Methrenthon or Shakiniel would leap up to help, just as I'm equally sure Nifilhema would leap to help Gorgulu.

Heh, yeah. I forgot, you're right. Things got changed to make it harder! So that means it was easier when you were doing this to Celest, than it is now that it's being done to Magnagora. Thanks for pointing that out for everyone, Jacko.
Jack2005-02-25 19:20:30
Precisely. These kind of things are much harder to perpetrate.
Except Magnagora was beating the crap out of Celest alone. You have Serenwilde helping you. I have no doubt that if it was just Magnagora VS Celest, you'd be the ones complaining.

Yeah, it was a real challenge for all those level 70+ people to beat hell out of all those level 30 and 40 Celestians, especially when they outnumbered them 3 to 1. There are a number of factors that contributed to Mag easily dominating in the early period of Lusternia, namely they had experienced leaders and fighters to start out with. As I recall someone commented that Visaeris influenced the first village before any Celestians even knew of the Politics command.
Whose fault is that your fighters and leaders like Chade, Valek, and Visaeris upped and left? Celest lost a handful of fighters and leaders such as Rafael, Koan, and Saraxus as well, but do you see them complaining about it? Again, the last war that led SW to ally with Celest was started by Mag, don't use the crappy excuse it was to take the heat off Celest, if your fighters didn't want to fight, no one could have made them.
Revan2005-02-25 19:34:19
Chade left due to his country being socialist bastard. He will be back in action in abour 6 months.
Jack2005-02-25 19:35:08
I repeat, if it was Celest VS Magnagora now, or Magnagora VS Serenwilde now I have no doubt whatsoever that we'd still win.
I'd like to see any of the current organisations go up against the other two, alone, and triumph. And this is why is why I'm still rooting for a Glomdoring commune.

Magnagora made sure that the whole world was, is and probably will always be against them. It was the decision of Magnagora to make both Celest and Serenwilde their enemies, and now as some capable fighters have left, those who are left behind have to eat the soup.
I am looking forward to Chade's return, maybe then the thugs will be kept at bay.

We just need another fae incident or something to piss off Serenwilde against Celest, and then we'll have a nice dynamic three way fight. Hopefully.
Silvanus2005-02-25 20:02:22
Technically, yes it was Magnagora's decision, but both Raezon and Fain had us do the ritual to create a new tainted species. So, it was really in the hands of the Gods whether Magnagora should hate them or not.

Um, I guess?
I think you're right on about topguild statuses, but I didn't know people where leaving for Serenwilde...
Maybe Magnagorans are seeing that the combined powers of New Celest and Serenwilde will eventually overcome the city... it may be in 70 years, but it will still probably happen.
You kidding? 70 years? We've almost completely lost all the spikes in the Necromentate as is, they're below 900, last I checked.

Oh.. Yeah, then, that seems a bit like hard work. Seems like less time for Gorgulu, though, and once you have him back, start on Ladantine but keep him guarded by lots of people.
We try that. Sometimes we do it, sometimes we dont. And as for the nexus ripple thing someone else mentioned, it was only myself (Big whoop) Jadryga, Alger and.. no, that was it around. Oh, and Sseravok. I'm only a protector. I'll take that Security spot so I can Nexus Ripple, if Kaervas wants *hum*
Anyway
Gorgulu isnt AS hard or as maddening to do as Ladantine, but he's still a bastard to get up. I put essence in the puddle for an hour last night, got up to 500 or so, he still wasnt up.
Soll2005-02-25 20:52:04
Wow, seems hard to me. I'd be mad. But I get fizzled easily.
Shiri2005-02-25 20:56:44
By the way, anyone else noticed how Celest is in fact the new Celest, not Magnagora?
Jack2005-02-25 21:00:51
We're New New Celest, s'why.

I place a large portion of blame on Daevos's mishandling. Sure he had to start the Seren war, or the city Patrons would have removed him from office, but what is more important, staying in office, or the good of the city?
Silvanus2005-02-25 21:13:27
Propaganda. When the God you follows to tell you to this and that it'll work, who are you going to believe, a person of inifite power, or your own conscience?
