Moondancer raiding!

Back to Common Grounds.

The party we created was comprised of people who were and are halfway decent at fighting. We needed a Geomancer to Taint, Llexyn was available: therefore, we took Llexyn. We needed a good ur'Guard to tank damage, Murphy was available: we took Murphy. We needed someone to get us in, in the first place: Yrael took care of that and led the group.

All you prove is that, of the entire commune, only two people are capable of fighting for it.

Fact : Neither Tuek, nor Narsrim are members of Moonhart Circle. (The Guildmasters/Seneschal of the Serenwilde.

Fact : Llexyn is a member of the Iron Council. (The Guildmasters/Emperor of Magnagora)

Fact : The 'laws' you reference did not outguild, or enemy, any Moondancer. They allowed for personal choice and kept them in the guild.

Fact : The new law now outguilds and enemies anyone caught tolerating Magnagora or their guilds, trading with them, or any other form of being nice.

Fact : Tuek and Narsrim are Security members of a single guild, in the Commune.

Fact : The raid bestowed upon the Moondancers had atleast a member from every Magnagoran guild, and as aforementioned, a Guildmaster.

Hmmm. I thought the whole ideal of a commune was freedom... why are there so many restrictive things on here? "Fact: The new law now outguilds and enemies anyone caught tolerating Magnagora or their guilds, trading with them, or any other form of being nice." Do I catch a sense of restrictiveness in that? My god people, Serenwilde is turning into Russia under Stalin.

And you wonder why I left Merloch...

Everyone is equal..

But some people are more equal than others. sleep.gif
Merloch2005-02-26 07:22:33
Uh... No. Nothing about 'Commune' in there, for one. Two, Nothing about 'Commune' is freedom, except everyones perception.

As for outguilding, yes..that happens when you directly assist the enemy. It's quite common, you know..

Also..It's 3am..so my coherency level is not quite adequate right now.

Yes there was a novice!!! I think you scared that poor little guy into oblivion actually. He burrowed away when the attack came on and I haven't seen him since. Bad bad bad bad bad bad Yrael! angry.gif

Ugh... Animal Farm?

I love Animal farm! Poor Snowball.

...attacking novices is the one thing I dont do. Damnit! I might be me, but I'm not.. me. Whats his name? I'll apologise to him.
Vix2005-02-26 07:58:48
You mean Trotsky? I thought it was a pretty good book too in how it paralleled Russian history.

Hm, he was... uh, Juxutar I think. Good luck trying to talk to him though, I betcha he left altogether. You've scarred the poor kiddo for life.
Yrael2005-02-26 08:02:53
Well, I've messaged him. We can always hope.
Skyla2005-02-26 08:22:02
To clarify, yes. The novice was named Juxutar, and he was new to the realms by maybe half an hour. Poor form. I would hope that he was messaged and offered some sort of apology.
Yrael2005-02-26 08:34:11
I would like to point out my last two posts, Skyla. Not including this one.
Daganev2005-02-26 08:35:20
not sure why it needs to be moved, its just been hijacked.

If ANYONE uses this as an excuse for anything other than not liking the individuals involved, I'm going to have readjust my evalutation on the abilities of the people involved in this community.

Because Narsrim attacking Gorgulu isn't worse than tainting a guildhall?

And Narsrim has quite a few positions of authority in Serenwilde's political organizations.
Daganev2005-02-26 08:39:17
If someone burrowed when the raid came, I doubt it scarred them for life or affected thier willingness to play.

Most newbies use portals, and don't know thier skills well enough to think about using them.
Skyla2005-02-26 08:45:18

Yrael, the last sentance was an agreement. Let me rephrase. Yes, I would hope that he was messaged, that was the correct thing to do. All clear?
Elryn2005-02-26 09:02:47
Good gods... you tainted the Moondancer guildhall after Celest broke your dome? Does anyone over there actually have an interest in politics or at least the safety of your non-combatant citizens?

I thought Magnagoran players wanted Serenwilde to step out of the conflict going on in the sea... now every single member of the commune has a reason to join in. Damn it, I actually thought we were making progress away from Celest. Just today Elryn was laughing about how both cities might blow each other up.

Now we get yet another push towards Celest.

Thanks, just what we needed. angry.gif
Daganev2005-02-26 09:05:01
incase you havn't noticed.... Its been Narsrim and Tuek who have been Magnagora's largest thorn. Celest hasn't done anything without their assistance.
Elryn2005-02-26 09:09:12
Fine, but I thought a lot of players thought Narsrim/Tuek aiding Celest was wrong. Now it seems they've just been proven right. Rather than striking back at them, the stroke of revenge was aimed at the whole commune. Including novices.

Edit: If this is what you want, go for it, of course. I'm not saying its wrong. I'm disappointed we're given more fodder for those who want us to ally with celest, but it will still be interesting RP all the same. *shrug*
