Alright. It gets very confusing on these OOC forums when you argue from an IC standpoint. Given that everyone else is talking OOC (well, in theory ), when you argue against someone's CHARACTER (as in personality) it becomes very confusing because it looks very much like an (unjustified) personal attack. Good idea to make sure you keep the two thoroughly seperated, and only argue from an OOC perspective here. It makes the whole thing much more REASONABLE.

What would Serenwilde do if Kaervas and myself killed all the Moon Avatars?
Yrael2005-02-27 04:43:06
Do what we're doing.
Except more Serenwilde-y.
Except more Serenwilde-y.

I again, ask this question, as Akraasiel had asked this question and has never been responded to:
What would Serenwilde do if Kaervas and myself killed all the Moon Avatars?
What would Serenwilde do if Kaervas and myself killed all the Moon Avatars?

You wouldn't.
In all seriousness, I'm going to assume that, if you could, Serenwilde would get pissy at your city, and, like what it seems Magnagora did to the Moondancers Guildhall in revenge, would be angry at the organization as a whole.
I won't say "They'd call WAR!" because I know Gregori is the type to converse with leadership to see if it was a unanimous decision, but I know a few commune citizens (For lack of proper phrase) would have the urge to splatter your blood across the Razines and then make a coat out of your skin.
That answer your question?
Silvanus2005-02-27 06:24:31
Then, if anyone thinks logically at all, Serenwilde should shut up about this.
Unknown2005-02-27 10:09:26
Umm, no. That is not logic.
Anywho, raid away Serenwilde.
Anywho, raid away Serenwilde.

QUOTE(Seraphi @ Feb 27 2005, 08:25 AM)
Look, us attacking a Serenwilde guild hall is equivalent to you attacking Gorg... why? Because Gorg can be used to lower our defenses, sap our power etc. Tainting a guild hall is nothing. A hartstone can wipe that away in seconds.
I would hardly call that equivalent in terms of harm.
QUOTE(Seraphi @ Feb 27 2005, 08:25 AM)
Summer, I agree. It seems the leadership of the Moondancers are using the non leaders to the leaders advantages...
Much as I hate to disagree with someone who's agreeing with me, I meant nothing of that kind. However, now that you've brought up the point, it does seem so to me, though not applicable only to the Moondancers. In my opinion, anytime a leader does not stop their followers from doing something, they're either directly or indirectly supporting it, whatever they may say. Or using them if you would like to put it that way.
A suggested course of action for Magnagora: Drop all your best fighters / raiders from leadership positions, put in some trustworthy (ie. you can trust them to follow instructions and not do something stupid) puppets who are bad at fighting, and rule from behind, so to speak. Wonder what others will think of this idea

I'm 50/50 on this. In many ways, we are supporting the actions of Narsrim and Tuek. Who's going to tell them not to? What they're doing is RIGHT. They're doing the right thing. They're not bullies. They don't attack novices. They don't set up statues on the road and summon random Magnagorans into them. They don't steal from anyone. (Please don't try to call Tuek a thief for 'retrieving' those items from Morslade's store. It was justified.) You want to call them thugs? Bullies? You're way off the mark. They're two of the most dedicated people I know.
Speaking from an ic point of view, they have what some or none of you have. Purpose. There's a reason for all that they do. Now, they're not acting on the behalf of all of the Serenwilde. Most of the Serens like to peacefully hunt, quest and teach. Some want nothing to do with either city. There -are- a few Serens however that will stand up and fight against the taint. Fighting for something. What is life if you're not willing to die for what you believe in?
Personally, I don't see a problem with their actions. At times, I find myself assisting the Celestians whenever I'm needed, because it is the taint that I oppose. I have no hatred for Magnagora and even admire some of them, but to idly sit and do -nothing- ? That's no way to exist. This is not to say that I'm a huge fan of Celest, but so long as they're not hunting down our novices, setting demesne/statue traps, raiding our villages, raiding the Serenwilde forest itself or slaying the fae of Faethorn, I won't consider them my enemies.
I don't wish to see a war. There may be no official declaration of war, but the Mags actions are often aggressive and merciless. Stangmar and Torak (sorry Torak) are just two examples of Mags that randomly attack Serens for no reason whatsoever. No reason. Just for being green, I suppose. Then there are the raids on our villages and the recent raid on the Moondancer GH. The Mags justifiy every action against us by blaming Tuek and Narsrim. Bah. It's ridiculous. It is as if they hope to use these boards to push the Seren leaders to 'put a leash' on two worthy commune members. That's not going to happen.

Does Morslade steal?
From an IC standpoint, sure they're right for the most part and a lot better than some of the Magnagoran random pkers, and should be supported. It's the claims that they aren't supported that sound silly.
Malicia2005-02-27 14:23:45
I don't know many knights that steal, but Yrael supplied Morslade's store with some of the stolen goods.. Goods from about 5-6 storerooms he emptied out in the Serenwilde...
Shiri2005-02-27 14:57:02
Seems he didn't, but Tuek honestly thought he did, so eh.
Unknown2005-02-27 15:01:44
Actually, when I asked him about Morslade's store, and about the door being left wide open, he said no matter, he'd just supply him from some of his own stock. I took this to mean he was his supplier, and so gave the goods to those who were robbed to alleviate their condition. Now he says he never supplied him wares. Could be the truth, or it might not, might be trying to hide the fact that he was supplying for Morslade now that it was brought to light.

Strange, that sounds more like "If his storeroom does get cleaned out, I will replace some of the stuff that was stolen with some of my own booty so he isn't too far out of pocket" more than "I am his 1337 supplier of stolen goods phear the Yrael cos he pwns j00" to me. I could be wrong though, but I doubt it
Silvanus2005-02-27 16:17:07
Those were Llexyn's food in Morslade's shop. Torak and Yrael stole from non-important people (by non-important, I'm referring to you as not high up on the food chain), while Tuek stole from an Iron Council member.
Summer2005-02-27 16:20:20
Stealing contest in the works eh?
Laysus2005-02-27 16:22:18
Yrael stole from Lady Lisaera's order shop, I seem to recall, Silvanus. That's pretty high up on the food chain.
Silvanus2005-02-27 16:23:05
That was Llexyn's supplies in Morslade's shop. Morslade hasn't been around ot supply his own shop.
Silvanus2005-02-27 16:23:57
Laysus, does it say, "LADY LISAERA'S SHOP" as the shop title, or anywhere saying it is, or is it possible he had absolutely no idea?
