When Gaudiguch and Hallifax come out, is there any chance that they will be infested with anything other than rats? It'd pretty much be just a cosmetic thing, but I'd REALLY like to see something other than rats.. Maybe some runaway little crystal things for Hallifax (They're the stuck up crystal guys, arn't they?) and pigeons for Gaudiguch? (They're the air elementalists, right?)
Would also be nice to see some kind of more unique rodents within Celest and Magnagora... And a difference between the Serenwilde and Gloriana rodents too.

Aye, those little differences always go a long way in giving each place its character, I agree.
I also wonder if Serenwilde will ever have its own version of sewers?

I would like to see Gaudiguch having scorpions. Would make a lot more sense than 'little crystal things'. Also, you got your cities mixed up: Gaudiguch is fire, Hallifax is air.
Jalain2005-02-27 03:24:53
I knew I'd do that.
Elryn2005-02-27 03:25:17
Hmm, for evil but untainted Gloriana it could be rabid little squirrels or foxes... for tainted but unnatural Glomdoring it could be tree sprites, or earthworms.
Desdemona2005-02-27 03:26:38
Gaudiguch would be nice with lizards to kill or worms. Hallifax... energy leeches, or mischivious goblins that like to break crystals
Unknown2005-02-27 03:26:40
Well, in the Serenwilde you always see weevils burrowing up and eating their way out of trees. In Glomdoring, I could see maggots taking their place. Big maggots falling from tree branches, slithering out of the ground... it just screams of tainted forest.
Silvanus2005-02-27 03:26:59
For Glomdoring it'd be spiders.
Edit: Or the carrion beetles from Aetolia.

But why would a citizen of Glomdoring want to kill those things? Weevils eat up our poor trees, they're a pest. In Glomdoring, I imagine it would be those revolting tree sprites that are trying to heal the trees back to life. Kill them all. *nod me*

Nah, Seren just pees on trees and digs a hole.
Good for fertilisation.
*duck*
Shiri2005-02-27 03:35:33
I'm going with carrion beetles. Not sure where they come from in Aetolia but whatever.
And for Gaudiguch, lizards.
And for Hallifax, li'l crystal things.

Serenwilde has weevils in Northern Serenwilde, Southern Serenwilde and Ethereal. Thats far bigger then Magnagora + sewers.
Elryn2005-02-27 03:38:36
Yeah, but its still just 3 normal weevils per room. (Although sometimes this weird bug happens where some start appearing in the trees.)
Jalain2005-02-27 04:48:48
Carrion Beetles in Aetolia was Bloodloch, wasn't it?
Shoshana2005-02-27 06:13:19
I really like the idea of pigeons for Hallifax, seeing as they're basically flying rats. And it'd be therapeutic to go and kill the bloody things on a game every now and then .
Scorpions for Gaudiguch sounds pretty good, too.

There are only 3 rats per room in Magnagora.
And Carrion beetles were a Bloodloch thing, one beetle was 40 gold.

It is not a bug. It is normally 5 weevils per room: 3/2 forest floor, 3/2 forest canopy. The canopy is part of the trees, that is why Serenwilde doesn't have sewers. Forest canopy could be considered as the upper part of a city, and the forest floor as the sewers.

Really? Do you mean 3 on the floor and 2 in the trees? The reason I call it a bug is because they don't appear in the trees when you sit and wait for them. They've only appeared for me when I'm on the ground. When I've got the three weevils on the forest floor, I can try picking up a weevil, and get a message that says something like:
I see no "weevil" to take.
You cannot pick up a lumbering red weevil.
Which tells me somehow a weevil has appeared in the trees.
Desdemona2005-02-27 06:56:33
Yeah, you will always see some weevils appear on the canopy. Normally 2 or 3 will appear on the floor and above you can see 2-3, giving a total of 5 weevils per room. Though, the time of the weevils appearing on the canopies can be somewhat random. Meaning it can be delay, or sometimes they even appear before the ones in the forest floor. Do get weevil constantly while on the floor and it will say "no weevil to take" followed by a "You can't get an titan weevil" go up, and you'll see the weevils there. But its not a bug, the bug could be that you perceive the weevil above you, but not that they actually appear.
Remember, Serenwilde doesn't have sewers, the canopy make up for it.

Erm, that sure sounds like a bug to me... especially when they don't appear if you're in the canopy.
