Of course it isn't indoors Geb, I mean how can you consider a man (or in this case dwarf) made structure with walls and a roof indoors! That door thats sitting at the entrance is just ornamental, I mean people can just go around it or jump over it to get into Southgard too!

Yes, inside of a mine. The description of the skill says outdoors, not out in the open. There is a fine difference between the two, but it is still there. Also the skill turns me into a tree or a rock. Guess which on of the two I became?

I will repeat for the reading impaired. Just because the top of an area is urban (Rockholm being the case), the lower portion (Rockholm's mine) may not be.

Umm, you were in the Imdar Circlet - because thats where we were laying the smack down on the people who came to defend. You weren't in the lower caves when we attacked you.

Ok, well you should have shown that immediately as I asked earlier. If I was on a road, then statue should have worked and nature should not have. I was under the impression that I was in the mine, so nature was the skill to use. This still shows you did not read what I have written above in the thread.

Going by how every other IRE skill that requires outdoors works (in my experience), mines are indoors. If you cant see the sky, it's indoors.

Lusternia is a bit different than other IRE games though. I do not take it for granted that what holds true in other IRE games will hold true in Lusternia.

But you can't escape the fact that you were inside. If the mines had a door, you would be on the 'in' side of it, rather than the 'out'

Many are identical, but low magic does seem have one or two more mage friendly abilities (Funny since mages can not train in it.)

'Outdoors', as in 'the great outdoors', can be taken to mean 'not urban', where 'urban' means cities, roads, civilized places.

However, in this situation i'd say 'indoors' means in an area with a roof over your head, and 'outdoors' means a place where you can see the sky. An urban area can be outdoors - for example, an alleyway in a city. A non-urban area can also be indoors - for example, down a mine shaft.

Oh, and Illusions is the coolest skillset ever!! smile.gif Stars, changeself, illusion, wall... I barely made it to Expert, but even then it was just so cool.

I understand the ability only to be used outdoors and in my eyes you cannot be much more indoors than in a mine. At least I don't think that the mines here look like Moria in the LotR-movie. So it would be a flaw in the code.

Mines can be of many different types. Coal mines, for example, can range from massive strip mines to deep shafts dug into the earth. One is outdoors, the other is not. Simple way to solve this, besides just seeing what skills work, is to give a few room descriptions.
