Alright, so, I made it to astral on my own for the first time. I have five or ten of sierus' artifacts, I'm surged, deffed up, etcetera.
I find a goat. I attack goat. Goat kills me twice.
I'm healing with health and sparkleberry, clotting like mad... what am I doing wrong?

He's human. No idea what you're doing wrong, but welcome to the club
Soll2005-04-06 08:32:50
Seriously? You're dying? O_o What's your level, health, race, weapon stats, and armour like?
Thorgal2005-04-06 08:34:15
The astral beasts are buffed up, I can't tank or kill a single one either .
Soll2005-04-06 08:39:32
Ooh, yeah. I forgot. >.<
Jack2005-04-06 09:53:09
Is it true they do about 1000 damage per attack, now?
I'd check for myself, but no Nexus = no getting to Astral.

Muha, pathetic mortals. I say hooray for the "change" to Astral, it's much better bashing before, it wasy to easy before that. I can take 2-3 of the buffed bulls at a time, or fesixes, or whatever else.
Drago2005-04-06 11:24:30
I died to a SINGLE urn when I switched to "aha, I'll kill this while I link twice more before I call Kaervas instead of just healing constantly like a good boy"..
That was humiliating.
That goat woulda been dinner if Alger was there or not .

You poor, underpowered Moondancer, struggling with having the weakest class of the game, we all feel sorry for you.

Actually, it doesn't really matter the class. Just be a dwarf, get constitution food, get a life blessing, etc. and your set. Ur'Guard is the tankiest class overall by far.

Please note Tuek's might and number of artifacts.

Why should we? It's not like anyone non-Warrior uses that rationalisation for the amount of damage we are capable of doing.
Daganev2005-04-06 12:15:29
RIchter, I told you not to die. There were 6 or 7 goats just hovering around the Megalith. YOu may not have noticed more comming in.
Ceres2005-04-06 12:57:18
Tuek has no artifacts that contribute to his tankiness.
He's a blessed level 80 dwarf with con food, TFs most of the time, drawdown, the sip bonus that a philosopher's stone gives, etc etc.

Wow so many inaccuracies, I don't know where to begin!
Level 76, never have had a truefavour in my existance in Lusternia, and who knows which artifacts I may or may not have? Don't you love item customizations?
Ceres2005-04-06 13:23:55
You strike me as the sort of person who wants to show off about his artifacts enough to not customize them, Tuek.
Unknown2005-04-06 13:49:05
Actually, I kept most secret. The Gem for example, I had since it was available, and told myself I'd only use it while off plane (away from scries, so it wouldn't be known I had one), though that didn't last long. After repeatedly having to tell Murphy I was "borrowing" it, I gave up, and told him I purchased it. In general, I prefer to not say what I own.

But if anyone cares to look at you, they'll see.
Because you're the sort of person who needs to qualify expenditure by other people's envy of its results.
