Lets say.. Player A decides to raid Plane A, Plane A has 20 guards from City A. Most of Plane A is Player B's demesne, if Player B demesne summons Player A into the guards, would that be considered abuse?

No, it's another plane where anything goes.
Silvanus2005-02-26 23:12:39
Right-o. *Cracks his fist* Lets see them raid Nil when I'm around.
silimaur2005-03-01 13:27:10
i might be raiding nil soon if you want to try and stop me, we can test it then
Jack2005-03-01 19:13:02
Apparently, the Megalith on Nil counts (or counted) as part of Magnagora. So when Silvanus demesne summoned Geb, he (being Silvanus) ended up being enemied to Magnagora and killed by Guards for 'bringing a known enemy into the City'.
While Geb escaped.

Richter2005-03-01 21:54:27
Well that's just silly.
Unknown2005-03-01 21:57:52
I thought you weren't able to bring enemies to your city? (at least in Lusternia, in Achaea for example you can)
Sounds like a bug - they (*wave Buho*) either have not to allow summoning in this case or make it not enemy the summoner.

Erion2005-03-01 23:19:08
Yea, and you can't summon them, either.
Silvanus2005-03-01 23:21:36
You can demesne summon. I've both bugged it and idea'd it for its change, if we could nexus ripple, we should be able to summon into guards just the same.

Geb tried to romp around on Nil again, but he died three times. What a shame.

Can I just repost my dislike that the Cubix exit to Nil (and probably Celestia as well) leads to the Middle of the Plane?
Wouldn't it make more sense that it lead to the Nexus, as its a source of power and what-not?

No.
Nexus = City-controlled area = guards.
Enemy of city-controlled Nexus exits to Nil/Celestia/Wherever = death.

As opposed to now, where enemy of city-controlled area exits to Nil/Celestia/wherever= Free pass on enemy plane where we can't possibly put guards? I fail to see how your complaint is somehow more valid then the complaints of people who are defending entire planes from people who can jump in where we can't defend using guards. THEY ARE ENEMIED TO THE PLANE. THey shouldn't expect a free pass.
Ixion2005-03-01 23:50:30
Have to disagree with you there Drago. The cubix shouldn't put you right into guards. 2000cr buys you access to all the planes, simply. Access to be instantly killed by guards simply isn't access at all.
Cubix is fine.
Cubix is fine.
Unknown2005-03-01 23:51:57
It isn't a free pass. It's a 2000 credit artifact.
I'd rejoice about it not leading to the Nexus. It's fair, and to be perfectly honest if you're not enemied to the city-controlled Nexus then it isn't like it's a long walk. I think the point was insignificant to begin with, though I suppose after paying that much for an artifact you'd want exits to wherever you so desired. Still, each Cosmic Plane is very small in comparison to the others.
So.. just deal with it.

Credits should never be able to purchase someone the ability to enter an exit a plane without being seen.
Its not that hard for someone to exit then go in another direction, guards are slow.
Artifacts are meant to be powerful, sure, but the ability to raid and escape easily? If you weren't around, Ixion, we never would have done enough damage to kill Geb simply because he would have activated the Cubix and escaped, healed up then walked back in.
No one should have the ability to bypass the only non-player orientated defence of a plane easily. Even if I had the artifact I'd still agree that it should leave to a nexus because its just a stupid raiding tool otherwise.

Alright, fine. I glance northwest (Or whatever the exit from the Cubix is) and toss nw;n in my client prompt or type fast enough to avoid guards. If I'm right they can't pursue you anyway outside of the Nexus... so I still don't see the arguement.
Edit: They could just make the Cubix work like "touch cubix (plane)" for an initial stun factor afterwards so we have no easy raids now. Fair? It'd go to the Nexus too.
Drago2005-03-01 23:58:53
It means that its easier to stop a raid, rather then letting them pop out in the middle of the plane, get hit twice (if we see them enter, because yesod hides their entry/exit) and then escape again.
If its not biggy, why argue against the change?

Ixion2005-03-01 23:59:40
You do have a point. Perhaps using the cubix should require equilibrium to activate as well as take about four to five seconds to get it back.
A change might be needed (to nexus with a short off eq works), but the cubix dropping you at the nexus solves nothing. You said it yourself, it's not hard for someone to go in another direction to escape the guards

I'm arguing because it doesn't change anything. Entrances and exits can still be swift.
See my above edit for an idea for a change.
