Yeah, so post here. If you play an instrument (or instruments), tell us which one(s).

I only play the saxophone (all types) but I've been playing it for 6 years. =\\

I play electric guitar and keyboard. Not particularly well, but meh.

Used to play a variety of instruments (favs being the strings) badly. Right now, I just torture my family and neighbours with the piano biggrin.gif
Soll2005-02-27 17:49:48
Meh. I've been through as many instruments as Soll has guilds.. (People who know Soll will understand)

I used to play the trumpet, double bass, duitar, and violin. Though I play the Piano now. Not particularly well, but well enough. I know a few pieces well.

EDIT: Soll wasn't impressed.

You should be proud of your diverse history.

Used to play piano (8 years)?
Trombone, on my 6th year.
Guitar for 3/4.

Yar.

Sax = 8+ years (started off on Alto, switched to Bari... my favorite, ended up on Tenor)

Bassoon = 4+ years

Contra Bass Clarinet = 2+ years

Alto sax for about 6 years, piano (off and on) for about 15.

Now I just use my keyboard for making crappy techno. Gotta love MIDI input...

I played the piano, violin and flute up until 5th grade. Then I realized I sucked at music and stuck to sports.
Terentia2005-02-27 19:28:56
Violin. Usually second, sometimes first.

I've been "playing" the piano since I was four or five (if poking the keys until you get "Hot Cross Buns" counts as playing), though I've had around six years of lessons at this point. I was forced to play the recorder for two years in elementary school, and the last year or two I've attempted to take up guitar (I'm not great at it, but it's loads of fun to play biggrin.gif)

Been playing bass for 4-5 years, I think.
And played accordian before that, for a similar length of time.
Oh, and I have played around with various other instruments (keyboard, acoustic guitar, autoharp, spoons biggrin.gif)

French Horn and Trumpet. French horn first. I only took up trumpet for jazz band and no I don't have the Big Ego trumpet player mentality!

Is the recorder seriously considered an instrument? God, they made us use those from 1st to 8th grade.

But I can play a mean rendition of chopsticks. And when I'm feeling daring, I turn on our player piano, record the accompaniment of chopsticks, then replay it and play the other part of it. Good fun.

I LOVE Bari sax
Your my hero.
Gaetele2005-02-27 23:30:21
I'd love the Bari Sax if the thing weren't heavier than I am.

All the Bari Saxophonists in our school... suck. Horribly. ;/

Used to play the recorder (woo woo) and was a lead-percussionist in a school music class group thingo that played at a few venues, such as the Sydney Town Hall.

Yes, I hit things and make squeky noises.

Trumpet, 7 or 8 years. In high school (not that long ago...) was 1st chair in Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, the Skagit Valley youth and junior youth symphonies, and I played in our churche's brass group.
