Anyone can afflict better than Moondancer, unless if you were a Mugwump Moondancer with hexes.Â
I have to contend that Knights afflict better than Mage on the other hand. Demesne effects are constant and passive, and will almost always hit. Runes will never miss, so will any of the other Magic attacks/afflictions. Knights on the other hand have to worry about rebounding, only 50% chance of venom coming off, which is severely lowered with resilience unlike runes, and our limb afflictions are random and repetitive, and we don't have phantom or reality to boot. Throw in the fact that some limb afflictions don't hinder opponents at all, I could highly doubt they would be considered useful.
Yes, Ur'guards get Contagion, Paladins get Dazzle/Heretic/Infidel/Inquisition, and Serenguard gets Stagcurse/Dark Moon, but those are rarely ever used considering either the power cost, the effectiveness of the skills, or the conditions required.

In one-on-one combat, Contagnation is very useful. If it isn't, I don't understand why every Ur'guard that I fight one-one-one wastes the 3p to cast it. Furthermore, Heretic/Indifel/Inquistion is relatively easy to pull off and utterly screws the opponet. The only valid example would be Dark Moon/Stag Curse.
Furthermore, I have trans resilience. I fight Knights all the time. I still accumulate more afflictions from charbydon (because unlike runes, etc. it is -always- hidden) that I do from most Mages. As it stands, there is a 50% chance of a venom coming off per hit. A combo is two hits. Thus, the chances of a venom are roughly 1 per combo. With trans resilience, this goes down somewhat but at the very least, I tend to get 1 affliction per 2 combos (on average).

*just saw this again* *didn't know Daganev liked Mononoke Hime* Okay, I was originally gonna say, "No stags", but then I saw A's (I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT HIS NAME. AND SO DID ANARIAS EVEN THOUGH HE ONLY WATCHED IT THREE DAYS AGO.) elk and...okayyy. (But the Hartstone have that one already! So maybe not. It woulda rocked if not though.)
EDIT: ARGH, it was Ashitaka.

For some reason, I couldn't understand that, Shiri. Though, I'm guessing it was off-topic.

Daganev started it. (Yes, it was mostly off topic. I mean, I had a relevant reference to the mount thing, but it was basically about a cool film. )

terenas forgot sliced tendon... OMG I SLICE JOOr TENDON!!!! now you cannot... stand up if you were lying down in the first place... well until you eat marjoram... go critical afflictions
sliced ear gives you dizziness in intervals... sliced forehead gives you bleeding scalp prevents you from healing sliced forehead well until you sip sanguine then eat yarrow... okay so how do we stop people from sipping sanguine... erm nope no stopping that cant even stack anything on top of it...
Collapsed chest is annoying because unlike other regen cures it gets cured right when you apply regen rather than when you receive salve balance... that besides the point that for some reason if you go deep in the the chest youll usually get punctured chest and never punctured lung.
okay ill breathe now.
