The XP loss is the same as Achaea, and indeed it is less if you die in your city.
67004
Not the case. XP loss in achaea was changed to 25% of what it used to be.

Did you ever consider that Trill + Ur'guard = crap whereas Viscanti + Ur'guard = potential 2,000 damage a combo?
66821
Yup. I guess one of my problems with the fighting is in imperian and aetolia you can choose almost any race and still compete, but that's not the case in lusternia. By the same reasoning I could have done better as a nihilist if I had been an aslaran or a mugwump, but I like to roleplay an unusual character more.
Unknown2005-03-06 21:20:57
I think a trill warrior would be fun because people wouldn't expect an ur'Guard to use the follow chant and then pull them up into the air.
Shiri2005-03-06 21:24:57
Eh, Guido, they shouldn't be off balance for that to happen.
Shamarah2005-03-06 23:43:36
Um, you can't follow into the air if you can't fly... how would that work, logically speaking?
Shiri2005-03-06 23:46:51
Oh, and that. *coughcough*
(My point still stands though. Or, it would if what Shamarah said wasn't right, which makes it irrelevant. )

They do follow, then fall right back down.

i wish i could even do half of that...even with my Champion cudgel i only hit 700-800...

It's easier to cure in Lusternia, which makes it harder to kill without a team.

Not exactly true. Lusternia has done something that a number of people suggested back in Achaea, more randomness to combat. Angel/demon/crone/charybdon/contagion/reality/dark moon/stagcurse all hits with masked/random afflictions that can avoid even the best healing systems. Whereas in Achaea anyone could go to Larkin's site, get the ACP, and heal like a champ. Here you have to diagnose once every 3 to 4 rounds against a Guardian or look at your wounds against a knight, it creates a much different feel to fighting and forces people to learn and adapt more quickly.

viscanti+ur'guard dont do 2k.
A viscanti ur'guard, who has lightning runes on incredible weapons, against a mage who has low resilience and most likely a racial lightning disadvantage, is 2k.
Bah, as soon as I step down from Champ, the knight artie goes from useless to actually doing something, 11 IC years overdue.

Yes, you do follow them into the air, then you fall down and get a concussion, amnesia, and some damage (Assuming you don't have flying or levitation on).

Huh. Whenever I do it, I get a "Lacking any way to fly, you sadly stare up at whatshername" or somesuch. And then Trill et al. escape me completely, while for some reason (bug or not, I wouldn't know) I start trailing the broom riders while still on the ground.
Unknown2005-03-07 17:49:07
It works different when you're flying using wings, and when you're flying using a broom. Sad experience from open beta.

I was 4th ranked combatant in Imperian. I did manual healing (we are a dying group), and managed to beat almost all who could program a wicked healing system. And Imperian, combat was much harder too. Here its much easier to get outta affliction-locks. Back in Imperian I was speed-demon with artifact sabres and 20 different toxin combinations.
I come to Lusternia and I've hardly touched the combat system. Many different aspects to a game besides fighting.

So you arent Mel****** then? Because if you are him as I heard, I have no idea what good fighters you beat, never heard of anyone decent losing to you

*skims over posts*
Ahh who's going to continue monitering the Bataillon? And I still owe you that letter >.<
Being a Trill is tough... in any class. But the wings are awsome and I just love it... would never reincarnate.
OH well, I'll see you around when Hallifax is released

Suicided huh
Karrah2005-03-10 03:07:16
Aye, yet my legacy lingers all over Imperian. Now search for me on Google.
