They never have in ANY IRE game. Ghosts are a different matter hence you have kether which damages us. being out of phase means you can't be attacked unless someone else in phase attacks you. IE snakes in achaea.

I see the point about statues and nature, dispell works also

Murphy, it was already stated that eye sigils were INTENDED to work that way, so quit arguing against it. You just don't want to see any fixes to ghost, since you are the only Warrior guild with any sort of escape ability.

=\\ Spores. And, given the IC way of things, I bet Shinza and Aether use spores. tongue.gif

Currently, no paladins (to my knowledge) have permission from the Moondancers to use spores. Furthermore, spores can be used as easily by an Ur'guard as a Paladin (and they aren't really that hard to aquire if you know where to look... and aren't enemied to Serenwilde).

However, if you are going to include spores as an "option" for Paladins then I would like to remind you have empress/lust which all Paladins/Ur'guard have access to if they buddy up with a Celestine or Nihilist.

Well, then Tuek's still wrong. He said Ur'Guard are the ONLY ones with a way to escape. Which isn't true at all. 'sides, Rescue's still there. Kaervas uses it liberally.

I was referring to actual Guild skills. Ur'Guard are the only _Warriors_ that have escape abilities.

Does Kether/Violet work against 'out of phase' people besides ghosted ones?
Eldanien2005-03-04 08:34:47
In theory. I've never tested it, though. I'll be sure to do so next I can grab an Aquamancer of sufficient skill.

How is leap not an escape ability?

Because if someone leaped in a direction you could beckon them back in (provided the person had balance back) or pursue? You can't pursue a ghost and since eye sigil is bugged, bringing the Ur'guard out of ghost isn't an option either.

Obviously "escape ability" is not a clearly defined thing. Walking is an escape ability, and therefore everyone has one. Leaping is a step up from walking, and if you wanted you could put hermit, spores, teleport, catacombs, sprint, ghost, flow, summons, that thing where you look like a rock, various forms of shrouding, flight, tumbling, crashing, and lots of other things onto a big chart. Then you can put carcer, engage, rubble, stonewalls, paralysis, greater pentagram, slit tendons, etc. onto another not-so-big chart. No one will end up having no escape or no entrapment abilities, but some people will sure end up orders of magnitude better than others in one or both axes.
