Again, you can't compare the price of things directly to the price of things in other IRE games. As divine and mortal alike have said many times, gold is FAR easier to get here.

I'm stocking up for the big vial decay!
buying gems at 80gp per and with my jeweler's hammer cutting between 3-21 gems per comm (not counting salt, sugar, and powerstones) i can sell vials for 150 per and still make a profit...
message me for bulk orders when the time comes heh

Vial expense and vial decay aren't that big of a problem. Really. The problem is the contents of said vials. How many of you will have empty vials decay? How many of you are familiar with elixirs/salves gone to waste thanks to the decay of vials?
If anything could be implemented to diminish the expense of decaying vials, and recovering the contents of said vials should be the implementation of an common ability that allows you to pour the contents of a vial into another.

i like that idea but then it would make Arcane vials kind of useless

If artifact vials are "arcane" vials, then they still hold double the amount of stuffs as normal ones?

I think Arcane vials would be safe. This is due to arcane vials able to contain more contents (double?) than regular vials, they are also undecayable. The implementation of pouring would have normal folks (those with regular vials), to be aware of their vials and see when they are going to waste and purchase new ones. Pouring is just a means of preserving your elixirs a bit more, until you finally consume them... and need to ask for refills.

I miss being able to pour liquids into a different vial, from Imperian.
But Athana placed my worries to ease. 150 per vial is damn good enough for me. These'll last me another RL half-year.
