Please move it back to general. It was not an idea it was a place where I wanted to hear people's overall experiences and comments about Influencing. If an idea was spawned through this topic, make a new one.

I kind of thought thats what an idea was.... a series of comments and suggestions based on people's experiences. Like when you say you should get more gold.. that to me would be an idea.... my appologies.

What I wanted by posting this was people to relate how they've used the skillset and what they like or don't like. I wasn't interested in seriously proposing any kind of changes, just wanted to hear about how it works as of right now. If you have changes you'd like to talk about then by all means, open a new topic on it so this one can still serve the purpose I opened it for. I'm sorry if you can't respect that I'd like this to stay on that subject.

How do you influence without using up bromide?

Lots of ego, laetitia with a level 1 eq boost. For some denizens, it's hit and run, but very doable.

odd, with 18 charisma level 60 my laetitia healed less ego than I got hit for.

That's what I use against the viscanti in mag. Quickening and laetitia..

I influence with 17 charisma (which is about 4.5k ego for me), and a sun totem (level 1 ego regen), and I -need- bromide to take down anything substantial. I don't know how you manage it.

At level 70, virtuoso Influence, Eldanien was able to handle two level 2 city guards without needing a single sip or laetitia. Beauty enchantment was it.

I don't influence very much, to be honest, so you'll have to judge for yourself whether that's good or what.

I hold by the theory that Merians are the best influencers, though. Merian Celestines and Paladins by far. Being able to get another influence attack in before the denizen can retort saves a -lot- of ego.

On that note, I suspect a Mugwump Hartstone or Serenguard with that fast-influence facepaint to be potent for influencing, and better than average for debating if they don't screw up too early on.

I think Laetitia is intelligence based as far as how much it heals goes.
