Can't say I'm surprised. Foxes are always associating with stoats and ferrets and weasels.

Careful. I'll set the Long Patrol on you wink.gif

Two things... One, Vorban, there are wonderfull ur'guard who don't know how to read... or use to not know how.. i.e. ME!

two, Maggot is something the gods turn you into when you are useless, its not just some lower lifeform. Its one steb above shrubbery.

and three, I agree, the people there handled it badly, however I didn't realy see any ranking officers so whatever... and very funny.
Shiri2005-03-06 20:53:47
Yeah, and what happened to Tarlequin anyway? He just went rogue from Hartstone and Serenwilde and hasn't been seen by anyone since, including his Order. :/
Desdemona2005-03-06 20:56:48
There are many people who are missing in action: Raevyn, Toscho, Visaeris, Valek, Tarlequin... and the list keeps going.

Shiri2005-03-06 20:59:36
I know where Raevyn went, though, and Valek just left from being kicked out, and Visaeris made a huge scene of it (repeatedly) so we all know where he went. And I'd never met Toscho, so Tarlequin was the only one that really puzzled me. Sad, too. Oh well.

Hehe! I remember Redwall!

The first few (like Redwall, Mossflower, a few others) were good, but after that, all the books got really same-ish after a while.
Genos2005-03-07 01:03:47
I loved Redwall as a kid, I remember going into the woods and playing with my friends and we would all choose an animal and make weapons.... Granted, the books tend to get old sometimes I can't help but read them. They aren't the most intuitive books but I just can't say no to a little mouse in battle armor with a huge sword.
Shiri2005-03-07 01:12:43
I seem to remember the otters being amusing somewhat.

As a whole, though, they annoyed the heck out of me. Can't quite place why. Probably the horrible good/evil obvious thing going on.
Shamarah2005-03-07 01:23:12
Yeah, I always liked the otters. And the badgers. Badger warlords = awesome.

And Shiri, you can't expect it to have a complex plot or moral dilemnas or anything like that - it's aimed at a young audience.
Shiri2005-03-07 17:58:54
Come on, I was like...10. I wasn't exactly expecting anything complex, heck, LOTR gave me difficulties at that age. dry.gif And the sparrows or whatever they were totally sucked. Also I've been put off the badger lords by finding out Rawnblade was one. (I mean, as cool as Rawnblade the Achaean was, I can't take him seriously. tongue.gif)

You guys could just call them shrubberies then, since it is the lowest.

"Hey! You there, shrubbery! Go get me a mug of ale. Double time soldier!"

But seriously, just call em meat, as in meat grinders, meat walls, worthless meat only suited to tire an enemy.
Richter2005-03-07 20:32:24
The higher ranking members dealt with that poorly. Namechanges are ooc. If you told me (as a person) to change my name, I'd donkey punch you.

And I'd read every single Redwall book until after the long patrol. I guess I grew out of 'em.

Also, a little known fact: Richter was supposed to have a twin, but it didn't work out, and the dork ended up choosing a character 12 years younger, just to spite me. I couldn't have a twin, a brother the same age, and I couldn't adopt him. He's since been not so much of a meanie, and is now my god-son, Sierus.

Richter and Richie... Richardo... Richard... heck, I don't know what we were going to be.
Alger2005-03-09 03:58:18
actually we only really started using maggot (it was used before but not on a regular basis) when the guild tutor started calling them maggots. But yeah its grown to have meaning since then. Also majority of us, at some point, were Infernals in other realms, old habits die hard.

About other names everybody calls them other things just maggot is used more than the others.

I didnt save the log but after that i called them to the megalith and gave them a not so quick briefing, found it rather amusing... maybe Asiati has the log still.
