Pretty much anyone who was on the darkfenixxx Achaea forums knows how this worked. (I hosted a version of this there too.) It's basically like Mafia, if you've played that, but on the forums and with a few special twist-ish-things.

Here's a brief run-down: Everyone is either an Elder God or a Soulless God, and they possibly have a secondary role as well. There are always many more Elders than Soulless. The game phases back and forth between day and night, not necessarily corresponding with RL or IG day and night. Every night, the Soulless vote on one Elder to kill, and then message me with that. Then it turns to day, all the gods wake up, and the one who the Soulless decided to kill is dead. Everyone, including the Soulless, now discusses what happened and votes (in public and on the game thread - no anonymous voting) on one person that they think is a Soulless. This means that the Soulless can attempt to influence the decision and attempt to get everyone to vote off an Elder. Whoever gets the most votes is killed. Then it turns to night, and the process repeats.

The Soulless always know who the other Soulless are, but the Elders don't. Also, no one (apart from the Soulless, because they know who each other are) knows if the person voted off during the day was actually a Soulless or just another Elder.

The Elder Gods win when there are no Soulless left. (I'll say when this happens, but you won't know it's about to until it actually does unless you're a Soulless.)

The Soulless Gods win when there are more of them than Elders. (I'll say when this happens, but again, you won't know it's about to until it actually does unless you're a Soulless.)

A couple other extra roles (for Elders only):

Seer: During the night, choose one person to look into the being of, and find out whether they're an Elder or a Soulless by PMing me with their name. It's not announced who the Seer(s) is/are, though you can claim to be it if you want to (expect to be killed quickly if you actually do, though; it's probably wiser to be more discreet).

Cosmic Guardian: During the night, choose one person to protect by PMing me with their name. You can't protect yourself. If that person is attacked by Soulless, they do not die. It's not announced who the Guardian(s) is/are.
