Repent! REPEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNT YOUR EVIL TAINT-WORSHIPPING WAYS!
Or pretend to repent and really be tainted...

I've been assured I wouldn't be let in by the sort of people who have the right to make such assurances.

Can you blame them? You actively WANT the Soulless free.

Stuff like this makes me wanna go Magnagoran. We have so little RP in Celest (well, RP on that scale anyway).
The most exciting thing that happened was when the Aquamancers threatened to leave, and the city started to argue. Which died down anyway.
Then of course, there was the hilarity of Annabelle and Shiro challenging for Prince.

Serenwilde doesn't have much RP either...or maybe its just my guild thats bleh
and that really is the most hilarious thing ever....what if they actually won?...
Shiri2005-03-07 00:58:26
Serenwilde has tonnes of RP. At least, the Moondancers has, and the admin of the Serenguard has (so presumably the lower echelons, having such a good influence do as well). (And the Hartstone CLAIM they're active, which would involve RP, but there y'are, I wouldn't really know. )

Hartstone is just meh. It just hasnt found its role yet to be played.
Bricriu2005-03-07 01:11:14
Guido still has potential, in my opinion.
Unknown2005-03-07 01:13:09
Don't worry, i'll cook the hell out of Glomdoring. Or something.
Gwylifar2005-03-07 02:30:34
There's a lot of non-RP in Serenwilde. But there's a lot of RP too; it's just not as public, partly because all the non-RP would flood it out if it were more public. The people who are roleplaying know where to find the other people who are roleplaying, and generally avoid the people who are either not roleplaying, or just roleplaying dumb or setting-inappropriate stuff.
That's not to say there aren't conflicts, but I think by and large there are two Serenwildes that try not to notice one another that much.

Erion2005-03-07 02:33:39
I think that's really, really sad. And hope nothing like that happens in the Glomdoring. From what I've been hearing from some of my friends that are on the "in", they're taking some measures to try and prevent it. Which makes me giddy.
Gwylifar2005-03-07 03:06:14
Yeah, it is sad. On the plus, the roleplaying we have is really quite good, even if it's kept in smaller circles. It's the age-old problem that the bad stuff is always louder than the good stuff, particularly when heard from the outside.
Daganev2005-03-07 04:22:44
In Magnagora its the exact opposite. Sure some peole don't RP but they have to find eachother in the back alleys.
Alger2005-03-07 04:28:27
its a strain to keep a straight face in Magnagora...
the other day i was briefing these two new maggots...
saucy and spicy...
It felt like an ff scene with wedge and (forgot the other dudes name)...
then they changed their names sahci and spihci *facepalms*
Everybody has ooc moments in Magnagora but yeah like dag said, its usually in more of the private circles where it comes out... i think its better that way instead of hiding the rp you hide the ooc. What I like about Mag though is the RP is never really planned or scripted... everybody just goes with the flow.
ooc channels are good for the blood really for people like me whod go nuts if i had to be ic all the time...

pronounced Sahchi and Speechee ofcourse. I just hope its not the same person, that would be dissapointing.
Murphy2005-03-07 04:58:57
Yeh i think Magnagora has a good general RP feel about it, so much possiblity.
I've been trying to include RP in raiding villages, with the whole pillage and plunder, leaving corpses everywhere and having mages descecrate the place with script, I love that kind of thing and Silvanus picked up where I was going with it really well and wrote some excellent things on walls, if there were a bunch of celestians sitting in a group I'd have throw the corpses at them.
I'm tending toward more Evil in my RP, with a sense of justice honour and discipline. But the taint is affecting Murphys non-viscanti brain, slowly sending his memory a little astray (occaisonly hunting down celestians just out of noviehood accusing them of webbing him, and watching them convince me it really wasn't, to be honest I can't even remember novices who web-whore in groups, ill hafta start making a list) and sending him a little twisted. So Murphy is more like an emerging leader and soldier of the legions of the undead.
eventually He'll go insane and become the pirate of the inner sea Yarr (that bit was a joke cause I can't control a ship)
Which is what the taint does, makes you a little twisted, but not senile or demented.

I love Magnagoran RP, really... it's everywhere. Mags rarely break out of character. Anyone who does publicly is usually pulled aside and advised or dealt with.
And yes, ooc clans are good for the sanity. Especially since we never plot RP or the like. How DO people plot RP anyway?
Great show by the way, Bric, Guido, Erion.

I think Aebrin would move on some place else if that happens.

I have an extreme urge to create an 'evil' Moondancer (Evil, not tainted) just so I could use the title, ", Dark side of the Moon"
Richter2005-03-07 06:44:01
Would match my old "Dark hart of the forest". *giggle*
And as for my involvement in this newest scheme...
I was *inactive* as in here three hours a day. Sorry if 1/7th of my entire week isn't enough.
I didn't do anything with you guys because 1. I thought many of those people were idiots, and 2. Richter dislikes most of those people ic, and has the whole ego thing about Glomdoring, knowing that he could do it better. Truly, there was a great deal of idiocy surrounding it.
I think some people said, hey, if something new comes out, maye I can lead it!
Fools.
I'll always be -somewhat- involved with Glomdoring, because it doesn't make sense not to, after how Richter has lived. But I'm still trying to get unenemied to Serenwilde, but Gregori ignores me EVERY time I send a tell to him.
So, I'm not sure what to do. Richter is trying to decide what he wants to be involved in, and as a person, he's quite lost. I'm VERY irritated oocly at people for stopping Glomdoring movements, because we need a fourth area.
I'd love to hear of some way that I could contribute to raising Glomdoring, for the purpose of adding a new area. But I don't want to have to deal with the idiocy of certain individuals that kill the Glomdoring mobiles on a regular basis.
For now, I have my room descriptions to finish, and four new designs to make. I can see myself as the GM of the warrior guild in Glomdoring, but if not, it's no big loss. I don't need to feel important, and grab power.
All I want to see is that it is in competent hands.
