All you Magnagorans get the Tome before you bash so you have an excuse. Either way, as the downfall of Old Celest, the Taint doesn't have the right to inscribe the Tome.

Actually, the downfall of Old Celest, and subsequent release of the taint, was Old Celest and the greed of the people there in.

There should be a drunken curse.
celahir2005-03-08 13:03:06
Make curses require karma upkeep let people gain karma when they kill or dont remove the karma. Then the Karma reductionfor Pking would work differently, though it'll be harder to Pk lots of people the effects wont be as drastic, instead of loosing karma for every person you kill make it you loose karma for every person that curses you.
celahir2005-03-08 13:03:48
That way you can pk and still be prepared for curses, and you still loose karma
silimaur2005-03-08 13:15:36
better idea get rid of karma all together *sagenod*

erm Amaru... all of us do that and/or we dont have the right to do it?

Hrm... i guess we should start slaying Paladins who do their pilgrimage on the isle as well... since hey if they're finished with that they'll be doing something else on the isle and we dont want that... also what right do they have to be within the sea of despair since the Celestians who found New Celest are the ones who abandond Marilynth and Old Celest by diving into the sea rather than fighting against its invaders. I'm sure they'll understand like we do smile.gif

And erm... no not all of us get the tomb before bashing spectres... that was fun though trying to quest while you guys kept jumping.
Unknown2005-03-09 06:38:38
What? Killing for roleplay MUST involve the person you killed to have the option to screw you over? Wow, I missed that in the fine print.

What? Issues are horrible creatures and let's shield ourselves in a buggy system that our time spent making could have been used creating the other Planes and spreading out the playerbase so the MASS PKS aren't as often?

I know, I'm a broken record, but dammit, this is pathetic.

This thread has lost all purpose. I propose it be locked given that no valid complaints there were not made 30 posts ago have been made.

Also I'd like to just throw in that Karma Curses really aren't -that- bad... in fact, I like them (yes, I know my opinion has changed quite a bit). When someone kills me, I can curse them (strip some skills) and kick their butt. Good luck to them getting the karma to uncurse and then curse me.
Erion2005-03-10 01:52:58
Assuming your griefing-butt has the karma TO curse someone. tongue.gif

Yes, I'm just being a pain and teasing you. happy.gif

If we can get rid of the excessive pkers we could get rid of karma.
To all guildmaster, guild admins and chiefs of cities and communes, please, do your work on removing happy-pkers from your communities, and that will be the best deterrant for that. Nobody wants to be left without half their skillset.
And we all know who are the happy pkers and who pk due to RP. *peer Munsia for example*

True, but leaders will be loathe to do away with their best fighters.

Oh well. I find ignoring them to be the best way to deal with them (Or, if you're that worried, sip vitae and go die to them once and keep them suspected for 30 days)
