Heck, in a several-on-one fight, web is overpowered, amissio is overpowered, even headslam is overpowered. You're in trouble with several on one unless you've got a few people behind you too, period.

I'll say it again. Combat cannot be balanced around teams. Period. IRE games are designed with Individual Versus Invidual in mind. Once you start adding more people to a melee, everything becomes skewed.

Constant stun though... you can't even run. I've always seen team combat as the best part of IRE... you're a good fighter if you can win 3v1. Stun ruins this.

Murphy tried shieldstun/swinging on me in Angkrag, with another person with him. It didn't work.

Yes, if you are alone fighting two then constant stun should shut you down. Many skills in IRE games are set up to allow two or more people to easily defeat one person. I see no problem with two or more fighters stunning, webbing, or paralyzing me enough to keep me from acting at all.

* Also, you should only be able single-handedly defeat 3 people under the following circumstances:

1. They are very poor fighters.
2. You got the jump on them and they were ill prepared to fight.
3. They are all extremely low level, so one hit would take anyone of them out.
4. Other circumstances that are similar to what I've mentioned above.

Don't start making rules on who 'should' be able to do what unless you can justify it better than that. I've always fought teams for a challenge, where is the problem there? I know you from Lusternia Geb, and from Achaea, and I know all you ever did in Achaea for one was 1v1. Don't try and put that on other people. Team fighting is the best kind, and it often comes down to a one-vs-many ratio. It doesn't mean something is 'unfair' or 'overpowered' if 1 person can kill 3. It could be down to might, use of skills, high levels, excellent healing, excellent offence, friendly territory, luck, or ANYTHING. It makes a good roleplay situation, and if it CAN happen in Lusternia in some situations, what's the problem?

One superb fighter beating three good fighters has happened before, it always will happen. It's just the next test of skill.

I don't think it should be totally 'left out of the equation' when it comes to calculating skill strengths. We pay 100x more to IRE than we'd pay anyone else to provide us with an in-depth game.

The problem with stun itself is how incredibly restricting it really is. You can do NOTHING. It's acceptable sometimes, but not in my opinion when it's a passive effect (IE in demesnes or angels) or when it can be used in combination with ordinary attacks (knights) because it's just -too- limiting. Unnecessary, really.

I only know one other IRE game (Aetolia), but in that one, there were novice skills that could be used to keep someone perpetually stunned in a three-on-one fight. What we have here is where perhaps only one race can get close to, but not quite reach, a perpetual stun in a three-on-one fight. If you could beat that kind of tactic in Achaea/Aetolia, I'm sure you'll find a way to beat it here.

Heh, don't judge anything by Aetolia. I just don't like that everyone has a skill which stuns 3-7 seconds, and knights can use it as half their attack. In that particular fight, it was the stun in combination with Kaervas' pet which ruined it for me, but I still dislike shieldstun.

Amaru, you don't know what I have defeated in Achaea. I have defeated 3 on one too, as a mage up on the clouds. Still that happened because the three fighters were not prepared to deal with something as simple as deepfreeze.

Also, I have defeated you everytime we fought in Achaea. Don't get a big head just because you have one combo here that people find hard to defeat, you still are not as great as you think you are.

Also, I do not even consider you to be the best fighter here Amaru. You have one combo, one combo that you use over and over. If you lost that combo, I really wonder how well you would do.
