Resistance, Aura, and Drawdown! If you want to see pathetic magical damage, my 17 intelligence Moonburst does a whopping 200 damage to Druthalus, an Igasho, and it's almost twice as slow as Cosmicfire.

I say get rid of shieldstun entirely. I'd rather not have it cluttering the list up if it's going to be a carbon copy of the useless, never-used Headslam, which is what you nerfers have just invented, in case you didn't notice it.

Maybe we can then ask for a new skill in its place. And if we get one, it might prove to have a use for a month or two before it gets nerfed.

But for what it's worth, you guys have done one thing: you've convinced me to get a shield, in spite of it being against my character's idiom. I had hoped that maybe if I tried to present the other side of the argument in reasonable terms, the fact that I was an unbiased and therefore objective (one would hope) voice might lend me enough credibility that someone might listen.

Now I'm thinking, if I can do no good here, maybe it's time I got me a taste of that "able to hurt someone sometimes" action. Just think of it! My shield will do half as much as Amaru's angel does, and as with his angel, I'll be able to do some damage while it's doing it, though only half as much. I'll have a combination that's almost half as effective as Amaru's! Briefly, that is, until he gets it nerfed.

Hate to burst your bubble, Gwylifar, but Amaru can shieldstun while his angel is double afflicting you, we have no such passive abilities. So it'll still be significantly less effective, until he goes Aslaran anyway.

Hasn't shieldstun recently gotten nerfed? I had Kaervas shieldstunning me and the longest it ever stunned was 2.5 seconds.

You did over 1K to Murphy though, you killed him with just moonbursting a couple times in a row, and he doesn't have magical penalties. Cosmicfire is 4.5 seconds equilibrium, I don't think moonburst is any slower.

I believe moonburst is about 2 seconds longer than Cosmicfire for recovery on average.

He wouldn't have that much need to shieldstun since he can already slap aeon, web, and paralyze in there. No one of which is quite the equal of stun, but heck, when you can do four afflictions a round, you can always double up on the hindering attacks and still come out ahead. Even if all his angel did was hinder, he'd still be doing double the damage (at least) I'd be doing with my one sword. (Not that he'd be going for damage, of course -- he'd be going for one of his several instakills, while I'd be going for all of my zero instakills at the same time.)

I killed him with moonburst because his system got messed up by stupidity and it didn't auto sip, that's why he didn't sip at all the last half minute of the fight. And I'm a Merian with +1 eq, if not for that then my moonburst would be at least 5 to 6 seconds.

I am a dracnari and the time to recover eq after moonburst is 6.2 secs. Here is a log of the test:

As you can see, my aura came back up about 0.4 secs before I got eq back. Terenas is the only warrior who can use it to any effectiveness at all.

Eh..okay, but if you test, you oughta use a timer...

you dont need to moonburst icarus... you do 2k+ a combo to warriors already -.-

On a sidenote, I long for the days when I was the only person who used shieldstun.
