Elemental Expansion

One would think that the elemental planes have something more than a few parasites to hunt in order to get essence.

The planes being a major attraction for this realm, should offer a lot of plannar things in order to make people more interested in visiting the planes. Not only for hunting, but also for questing (as in honours questing) and exploring, and RPing .. etc.

There is still too much focus on the Prime, ... So .... how about everyone tosses in ideas as for what kind of things should we be able to do on the other planes!!!

Personally, I would think that the Elemental plane of Water should have an "underwater" environment!! What wonders lie beneath the Sea of Stars! I wanna know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! laugh.gif

I want a sexy mermaid village deep beneath the Sea of Stars. Yup, thats what i want.
Desdemona2005-03-11 15:51:06
Yes, it would be cool if every elemental plane had a particular denizen as inhabitant. Rock golems in elemental, fire salamanders/dragons in fire, water fish for Water, Air birds in Air. Things like that. Earth should have more underground terrains leading to a village/city/kingdom of Rock Golems with a few quests. Water, as you said, an underwater environment which you can go deeper and deeper if you are equipped to breathe underwater.

I sexy Naga village would be just as interesting.

Nagas

more naga fun

Those naga are totally weird, but yeah.

The ordinary kind would be cool.
And Ethereal would TOTALLY have Kodama. *eye* ('cause we don't have an element!)

Kodama
Naga
Xorn (okay maybe not, but there's not THAT many good earth dudes)
Coatls
Magmins.

I would more say:

Naga for Water
Gargoyles for Earth, I mean they already have gargoyles, just no explantation on where they came from. And they can be the wicked taskmasters of their grubs!
Coatls for Air? Aren't they those serpents with wings? I say a village of cloud people.
Fire should so be salamanders, not these Magmins you talk about.
Kodama? What is this? We already have Fae, you want to add scary looking thingies?
Shiri2005-03-11 17:11:58
Gargoyles - way too psycho to run a village.
Coatls - yeah they are cool. But if it was cloud people they would remind me of kirby and I would cry when killing them.
Salamanders - well it's too much like Dracnari is all.
Kodama - ARE NOT SCARY. angry.gif

When are Gargoyles psycho?
Yes, I see that kirby looking clouds, and I now agree with Coatl.
Salamanders, yes, I see that too. So how about, umm...Phoenix things? I mean, we would have a village run by serpents...but then they are birds, and make since for the Elemental Air Plane. Fire needs more creatures.
Kodama ARE SCARY! ohmy.gif
Shiri2005-03-11 17:23:53
Well they're all...demented and stuff. Haven't you seen them?
Good.
Well hmm...I suppose...maybe more like those bug phoenixes from Sacrifice rather than proper cool bird Phoenixes. Maybe not though.
THEY SO ARE NOT.
Erion2005-03-11 17:30:17
That would be kind of fun. happy.gif

But just because they are demented doesn't mean they cannot rule over the grubs!
I guess so for the bug phoenixes.
AND ARE SO. glare.gif
Shiri2005-03-11 17:38:29
True, true. I mean, Chade did it. tongue.gif
And good.
ARE NOT.

Eww. No Kodama. Freakin.. weird things.

Anyway, it would be interesting in the Ethereal expanded as the Elemental planes did. It'd make sense and you can never have enough Faethorn (Or outskirts of Faethorn, featuring disgusting tainted fae or just ethereal creatures to recruit or.. sometihng).
Shiri2005-03-11 18:05:28
LEAVE THE KODAMA ALONE. They're totally awesome. Anyway, hmmm...don't now about Tainted fae, but some nasty mean Fae would be cool.

Where's Mary with her redcaps and Nuckaleevis or however the heck you spell that thing when you need her?
Unknown2005-03-11 18:08:00
Awww, come on. The freakin Glomdoring got tainted. Some fae, while not "uber" evil, had to have run somewhere to hide. I think it'd be an interesting concept.

A culture that overcame the taint, but is forced to live within its grasp. I smell a new village!

Oh, uh.. or were the fae resistant to taint? (Histories versus.. odd event. So confused)

Shiri2005-03-11 18:09:43
Yes, I guess, but my point was I don't just want the boring ones we have already! wink.gif Also why I was opposed to gargoyles. I want NEW THINGS! biggrin.gif
Unknown2005-03-11 18:18:04
Don't always need new things when the things that exist require explanation. ninja.gif

I suppose a "new" place could just appear, but um.. random isn't always good. I suppose civilized golems or something could've distanced themselves from the gargoyles, grubs, etc, and in a digging excavation they accidently drilled to the surface, which in turn revealed their village.. but uhh.. didn't come from me.

Oooh... and give the off-plane village-place-things odd materials for crafting that have special properties (Charge out of the arse for 'em too!).
Desdemona2005-03-11 19:53:02
Faelings are alright for Ethereal... I mean, take a look at the moondancer fae and the Faes from faethorn it's diverse already. But an extension to Ethereal would be great.

Also, considering that the equivalent of an "elemental plane" for the druids is Prime (at least the forest parts)... how more diverse can you get than that? whistling.gif

I'd suggest to use the elementals as creatures for every plane: salamander (fire), gnome (earth), undine (water), sylph (wind)... but could be boring.

Earth could have the rock golems along with the gargoyles. The golems could live in underground chasms, and surface to... reproduce by seperating onto different shards of rock then dying to add up to the Earth's plane constitution. The gargoyles could then be involved as the golem's enemies, as eater of rocks. tongue.gif

Water... nymphs. Yep. A whole civilization of water nymphs.
Shiri2005-03-11 20:01:45
No, sylphs are Fae, or I would have said them. wink.gif And I dunno, I prefer golems (only not called golems, since they're artificial obviously), so like...terrasects. (Since everyone, even people like Merloch (tongue.gif) calls tesseracts that for some reason. HAH.)

And there could be Treants for the Elemental part of Ethereal, so to speak. And hmm. Well there is ONE water nymph. The Naiad in Moon Lake. But only one. So there might be a village of 'em somewhere.
Desdemona2005-03-11 20:17:00
I'm not sure about coatls for they probably are a rip-off version of Quetzalcoatl. Soo... think of another air creature. In prefference something made out of air. ENTS could be inhabitants of some ethereal trees, I guess... but I don't like the idea much.

Regarding nymphs... they are alright for water plane. wink.gif

Fire... Can't think anything for fire other than true fire dragons, phoenix, fireflies, fire sprites... salamanders
