Phoenix Fire Dragons... Phofigons

Rocket space ship made out of wood moonstones, and channeled by the power of all guardians and mages... destination: the moon. That would be awesome! Fun, too. Repeated failures and all, and then victory. We visit the moon, meet Mother Moon, and the moonfolk and the man in the moon.

Firstly, lets just forget about Treants and Ents. Treants remind me of the D&D talking and walking trees, and Ents are .. Tolkien.
Either way, lets just call them "Treefolk"? Just to get it over with.

Secondly, personally, i hate dragons. They are throughly over-used in every single fantasy game there is. So i certainly hope the planes dont get invaded by elemental themed dragons.

On the other hand, let me share a thought with all of you. When i first came to Lusternia i was quite afraid of going to the Water plane, because i belived that the plane itself was 100% filled with water.

In other words an elemental plane is exactly that ... A plane that is elementally based upon an element. Forgive the redundance.

So i imagined the elemental plane of water to be an infinitely deep underwater world, while the plane of earth a vast world of underground caverns filled with underground creatures. Just as i would expect the elemental plane of air a bottomless and open spy the stretches into infinity, and the elemental plane of fire a deadly ocean of pure flame.

As it is, the Water plane is already half filled with air. So its not 100% elemental. But i can live with that.

And i actually expected the elemental plane of air to have floating islands with villages on them. Where most of the cretures are airborne.

Now, i dont really expect each elemental to be trully 100% a single element. Because the planes collide and fractions of the other elemental planes drift into a place they dont belong to. Thus, the floating rocks at the elemental plane of air, or on water, where the coral cities are built. When a rift to the elemental plane of fire within the plane of water gives into a swirling underwater vortex of steam.

Keep in mind that Celest is water themed (pool of stars) and has as main inhabitants, the Merian, who can easily go into a 100% underwater world. Just as Hallifax is linked to the plane of air, and all Trills can fly around freely.

To me, the elemental planes so far, have been made "user friendly" so most people can access them even if they are not adapted to survive in a 99.9% elemental enviromnent. Which is .. what being an elemental plane is all about.


I just thought id drop that thought to see if anyone gets any ideas based on that.

Regarding Dragons... nah, they are no longer dragons, they are Phofigons... unless Shiri comes up with a new name idea for the small hybrid "race" the Phofigons are. And those Phofigons would be 100% fire like, burning, hot, intense!

I'm not sure what you meant about the Elemental planes... you claiming it is far too easy to survive in them? Not sure about this, but as I see it, for water unless you've got water breathing, or trout or something like that, you'd die... for Earth, I don't know. But it would be nice if you weren't able to burrow, or something like that... that you have chances of dying.

Yep, it is easy to get things to survive the planes. I think. I hope air to be a huge endless open space with infinite wind starting out of nowhere from every direction... and no land whatsover. That would be nice.

Yeah, weasels are totally not elemental creatures. I think me and Desdemona came to a compromise, which means absolutely nothing, but we don't have to keep arguing! (Only we need a better name for those things. ) But yeah, water's way easy to survive...and earth...well, there's the damn mountains. )
