I would suggest seeking out people who will fight again for revenge and target them. (Indeed, it is good for the game to discourage PK against people who do not wish to partake in it.)

Ceres likes to PK.

(Stuck in Limbo): Ceres says, "Standing before the Seal of Knowledge, you raise
your arms and tilt back your head. You clench your fists and whisper the name
of Marsu. The cave darkens as your curse finds its mark and a low booming pulse
throbs throughout the cave. CERES is now labouring under the karmic curse of
knowledge."

If she dies, and can spend 5 karma on you, she will use it. Then she would get her revenge afterwards anyways.

Meh. Ick.

I have a big suspect list, and i got cured, 100 karma to get rid of it.

This will be fun, NOT, and ill be getting jumped the WHOLE time while I'm at it
Ceres2005-03-13 23:23:47

It looks like only one person in all of Lusternia is suspected more times than yourself!
Silvanus2005-03-13 23:29:30
Is that me? I have 100 karma to lift also...

No, you are suspected a good amount less than him.
Unknown2005-03-14 00:43:28
Yep, Murphy deserves it, he's been telling me that he plans on griefing all of the Seren, anyone who isn't a novice, I'll laugh when he gets cursed with everything.
Silvanus2005-03-14 00:57:10
Your soul's karma stands at 0%.
You have:
The karmic curse of harmony: 24 hours 21 min. (100 karma to lift)
The karmic curse of nature: 24 hours 22 min. (100 karma to lift)
See HELP KARMA for information on karmic blessings and curses.

Both of which were standing outside of Acknor attacking/helping of hurting Magnagora citizens...

This blows.
Unknown2005-03-14 00:58:30
Bah, why are they cursing you with harmony and nature? Kill me Silvanus, so I can curse you with death or maybe chaos. Or Life, or something interesting.

But just let Harmony and Nature wear off naturally, they aren't so bad at all.

I mean, you didn't have some super long bashing trip planned did you?
Silvanus2005-03-14 01:02:24
Yes, actually I did... Was goign to do it today.
Shiri2005-03-14 01:04:24
The reasoning probably goes, "Man, I LOVE this harmony blessing! Let's see if he likes it if I do the REVERSE to him! MUAHAHA!" dry.gif
Ethelon2005-03-14 01:56:34
Hehe, Rava deserved it and I never summoned him into a statue, he ran along Alabaster Road and I caught him in the city and had my "griefer" fun! I don't give two censor.gif what anyone thinks of me anymore, I tried to follow a strict RP level for awhile and gave up when idiots decided to bring OOC grudges IC and try to screw Ethelon over, after that I stopped carring, so go ahead and call me what you like, it will probally be true soon enough

EDIT: Watch your language. ~Shiri~

I just thought of another repercussion to raiding and defending against raiders. If you defend your territory and kill a raider you GAIN karma. If the raider kills you he or she loses karma (if he has any suspects).

Uhhhh yea, I think I bugged this and all. I killed someone in acknor and had 100 karma, and it said I dropped karma for the kill AND gained karma. My karma went down to 92....
Yuniko2005-03-14 08:42:49
Thats happened twice already -shuffle-

QUOTE(Elryn @ Mar 12 2005, 08:35 PM)
I imagine this is going to be rather unpopular, but could we make it so that killing a mobile loyal to an organization in enemy territory is treated as an act of aggression to all citizens? My problem with this change is that the sequence of events

Enemy kills guard
Citizen defends and attacks Enemy
Enemy kills citizen

Doesn't seem to me like Enemy should be exempt from suspect on the defender. The enemy was the one who initiated the battle.

There's one problem with this that I can see.

Stealing furrikin from Estelbar to Acknor, and returning them, are quests. People do them all the time. It's contentious, and Magnagora made it an enemying offense enough that now everyone enemies for it; but it's not a declaration of war, it's not a "raid", it's something but it's not a huge huge something. Moving hemp farmers around is the same. Etc. in all the other villages... except three.

The only way to do the equivalent "quest" between the three mining villages involves killing. And killing causes CT shouting. And CT shouting makes people say "raid!" And then the whole thing becomes an order of magnitude bigger than the equivalent quests in other villages, more contentious, more bloody. And people always seem to forget that this is also the village-vs.-village quest and in some way different from a raid designed to kill guards, infiltrate the enemy city/commune, etc.

This disparity is so readily forgotten already. A change like you propose, if not adjusted to account for this somehow, would only widen that gap.
Faethan2005-03-14 17:03:02
Considering the massive amount of suspects that have likely been gained from the village raiding bug, and the changes in how Karma works, is there any possibility of clearing suspect lists? Note that I'm not asking because I have too many suspects (I have none), it just seems kinda fair.
