Ravin was pretty awesome. He was logged on 2 days ago, according to guild lastlogin... Ah miss my brother

I actually like the way flow works with two communes, it makes it more interesting.

Nothing stops you teleporting into enemy territory and making the exact same mistake.
I don't see why it would be changed for flow just for this.
EDIT:
1) Go into trees and stuff before you flow. I don't think totems hit you there, and I know unless you get blown out of the trees guards won't. (We have centaurs in most places, not hags, and I'm not sure if hags NOTICE people in the trees and air, or just follow them there.)
2) Get thirdeye or a scry enchantment like we have to. :/

I was in the trees, I IMMEDIATELY was knocked down by the wind.
Erion2005-04-29 02:17:11
Actually, I'd rather the change be held off until we can wreak havoc. Then when we're done making you cry, because we wisp you into choked rooms, you can ask for it to be downgraded.
Shiri2005-04-29 02:18:17
You were unlucky then. Sometimes it comes immediately, other times it comes after like a minute.
Unknown2005-04-29 03:34:14
Skills are skills, we just have to learn to fight Glom different to everyone else. Neither flow nor wisp is too harsh, they just make forestals good in forests. Two forestal communes, just means they need to think more about dealing with each other. Everyone else can suffer from the two communes flows just as they did before

Um, I'm a non-Magnagoran, and I'm a Faeling.
I think that's quite enough.

I have flow. I use it for combat some, right now, and will use it a lot in the near future. I still think it's overpowered and needs nerfed. Wisp is also pretty nutso, in that the resist rate needs upgraded slightly, or some sort of delay/warning added.
Thorgal2005-04-29 14:56:44
The argument that forestals should be that more effective in a forest just cause they're treehuggers, is absolutely rediculous:
The ONLY advantage magnagorans get from being in their territory, is some regen IF they're viscanti, the regen of course gets voided by their lvl2 sipping penalty.
The ONLY advantage celestians get from being in their territory, is some regen for the fishes, which also gets nullified by their massive penalties to fire and lightning.
So if celestians nor magnagorans get any advantage from being in their own territory, why the hell should serenwilde have any? Using it to justify why you're so powerful in the forest is baseless, hypocrit and retarded.
If the world would be fair, you wouldn't even HAVE flow or wisp at all, instead your druids would have demesne summon and be done with it.

I have a better idea.
Let's make each guild a carbon copy of the others, so everyone has the same skills. Then there will be no complaining because people have advantages in some situations. All warriors will now have the Serenguard skillsets, for instance. Have fun with Stag.

Good point Thorgal. Serenwilde/Glomdoring shouldn't be more powerful in the forest than anywhere else. Hence, all our forest-restricted skills should be usable anywhere. I'd start by relaxing the restrictions on flow, wisp, vines, camouflage and briars.
Shiri2005-04-30 01:10:38
Camouflage can't only be used in a forest anyway. But sure, let's relax restrictions on flow/wisp/vines. It's not like Nihilists or Celestines have to use any of THEIR skills only on Tainted ground, mm?
Unknown2005-04-30 01:20:23
Or we should just adjust them.
Lichdom only works in Taint.
Ghost only works in Tainted Urban.
Empress Tarot only works in Urban.
Wrack only works on Nil.
Sacrifice/Crucify only work on Nil.
Carcer should only work on Road or Path environments.
Hangedman Tarot should only work in Commodity shops that carry rope.

Thorgal2005-04-30 07:33:46
You're missing the point yet again...is it so hard to just compare the effectiveness of treehugger village- and commune- defence to city defence?
Sylphas2005-04-30 07:44:10
I'd love to see cities reactions if you guys needed us to grow totems in your villages to protect them. That'd be fun.
Thorgal2005-04-30 07:46:33
That's the point, you don't even NEED any totems or statues to protect your villages, you can instantly flow an entire army to the attackers, and flow right out again when it gets ugly, and the moment someone steps off a monolith, he's getting wisped into 30 guards.
Cities actually have to walk to their villages, find the attacks, and kill them. How would you like it if magnagora could instantly move its armies right to you and stomp you into the ground, without any chance of escaping it?

Stop trying to make everyone the same! Argh, it is so boring!
Elryn2005-04-30 09:09:58
Haven't druids in other IRE games got an almost identical version of flow (grove return, grove flow)?
Is it as feared as much as our version of flow?
