I think we are being perfectly rational, and yes, reasonable, in demanding that the Divine are held to a higher standard, and need to stick to that standard.  Taint, Light, OR Foresty.

So spelling is that important to you? Wow.
Bricriu2005-03-14 06:23:51
Those are variations from American to British English, if I'm not mistaken. Both are right, technically.

However, it's not as simple as that. It's actual, total, mistakes.

In a professional business document, or a resume, I would not want to see a spelling mistake. IRE - which Lusternia is a part of, is a business, and the Gods are/are slightly like the employee of that business.

Pardon me, for expecting an 'employee' (in a sense) to be able to uphold that professional standard of excellence.

Bricriu, Llexyn...give it up. Honestly. You too, Erion.

I'd have to have taken it to begin with. happy.gif I'm just posting for the amusement.
Singollo2005-03-14 06:25:37
But in the context you're writing of, its a game and they are a player.
Malicia2005-03-14 06:26:34
So Bricriu, anytime you see a mispelling in one of the room descs for Lusternia, or perhaps in an ab file, be sure to start a post here and mock the Divines for their HORRIBLE mistakes. Bugs as well. Divine's are held to a higher standard. There can be no mistakes. Ever ever ever. Right?

Do you -feel- my sarcasm? It's like a thick slice of pie. You can cut right into it.
Erion2005-03-14 06:26:46
Eh, no. Divine are considered to be admins, as that's what they are. I wouldn't want to work for the guy who can't spell his own name. That would mean serious problems with my pay check.
Azeal2005-03-14 06:27:06
Erion = Spam happy?
Bricriu2005-03-14 06:27:19
kiss.gif Malicia. How about, No? kiss.gif

I'm not going to just give up on something I firmly believe in, and certainly not just because you told me to do so.

She WOULD feel it, if I hadn't gobbled it up.

With whipped cream.

I was there for some time, I saw how the gods acted, I saw how people were talking, and seeing what they are writing on the forums. I'm comparing that to similiar behaviors in the past, and certain things people have said within the mud environment on an OOC level.

I can't spell worth shiite, when people make fun of me about it, its generally playfull, unless they don't like me for what I'm saying, then they say it scornfully.

It would be nicer if people were able to actually voice what they are upset about and not mask it behind petty things, such as the lack of any mudclient having a n inbuilt spellchecker.

When I spot them, I TYPO them.

I suppose I could have TYPOed the spelling errors Hajamin made, but then I couldn't see all your lovely posts. wink.gif

That sarcasm is so thick, I don't think a GALLON of whipped cream'll make that pie go down any easier.

Or out for that matter. S'all prickly and cruel. y'ouch!
Bricriu2005-03-14 06:29:53
Stop hijacking, Erion.
Llexyn2005-03-14 06:29:59
On a final note to this topic, I'd like to think I urged a bit of positive reinforcement into anyone who reads this: that you should at least TRY to check over what you're going to say before you say it.

So Erion likes pie. Couldn't fool me. *grin*
