I'm not going to just give up on something I firmly believe in, and certainly not just because you told me to do so.

You voted for Bush didn't you?! I'm putting you on the list.
By the by, I haven't seen either of you "griefers" give adequate justification for this post yet, and you duck the serious questions and arguments against you.
Bricriu2005-03-14 06:33:15
Gah - stop the hijacking, darnit. This arguement is making my Sunday Night interesting!
Erion2005-03-14 06:33:48
Bricriu's more liberal than me. And I'm anti-drug laws.
Daganev2005-03-14 06:34:38
Put yourself in the position of the person playing the god. First day on the job, and he gets barraged by insults not about the charachter he is playing, but about himself.
I sincerly hope this will not disuade any future developments in the game world.

I had a fairly long debate today with Hajamin over the Taint and its usefullness/purpose, and he was coherent in his arguments and mostly correct in his spelling and grammar useage (despite the illogical assertions that the Taint is evil! ). However, I did note that when he was shouting, he did repeatedly make spelling mistakes, and apparently in tells with Llexyn as well.
From my overall impression of him, I think his spelling is just fine, but I think that he might want to watch his globals a bit more, since those are the most prominent responses of his, and the image of him that's going to stick with everyone who isn't engaged in a one-on-one conversation with him.

Actually, I find Bush to be a total cowboy :censor:tard from Texas that needs a good exam with a long anfd pointy stick.
I'm not sure how I'm a griefer, but, go on with the name calling, that is interesting, too!
What are these 'serious' questions and arguements you speak of? I think we've set out our points fairly clearly, and there is no point in repeating them another half dozen times, unless you really are out to entertain me for all of Sunday night into the wee hours of Monday morning.
Daganev2005-03-14 06:37:08
I would appreciate people not using personalized political associations as an insult.
Call them republicans or democrats or commies or capitlist pigs, don't call them "person X voters" Thats much worse than anything else in my opinion.
Respect people, you don't have to respect what they are saying, but if you want any legitimacy respect the people saying the ideas.

Those are variations from American to British English, if I'm not mistaken. Both are right, technically.
However, it's not as simple as that. It's actual, total, mistakes.
In a professional business document, or a resume, I would not want to see a spelling mistake. IRE - which Lusternia is a part of, is a business, and the Gods are/are slightly like the employee of that business.
Pardon me, for expecting an 'employee' (in a sense) to be able to uphold that professional standard of excellence.

You and your camp mate Llexyn decided it would be fun to give a god a bunch of grief for misspelling a word and being a god at the same time. Any other questions that need the obvious answer spoken?

Note, I stated I had a conversation as well which was enjoyable. I find it nice to have a God that is very stuck onto an edge of RP, if already done with Terentia in my observations, so far.
I still argue for pro-good spelling, though.

That was my point as well, Bri. Watching the spelling a bit more on globals would be great, even if it delays the responses a little. I'd hate to see everyone's idea of Hajamin be "oh, the god with bad spelling" instead of how he truly is - a misguided zealot!
I did thoroughly enjoy the conversation with Hajamin today though - so thanks to Haj if you're reading this!

It would be nicer if people were able to actually voice what they are upset about and not mask it behind petty things, such as the lack of any mudclient having a n inbuilt spellchecker.
72723
Personally I think this thread is a complete load of garbage and should be scrapped for its idiocies.
But since Ethelon didn't reply to this I decided I would be the pedantic one - MushClient DOES have a built in spellchecker for it is
Daganev2005-03-14 06:50:18
Damn that MushClient and its confusing abilities.
Unknown2005-03-14 06:52:41
I can not believe you all are going on and on about a few spelling screwups. If you knew how many tells, shouts, and says someone is trying to reply to at the point of introduction your head would spin too. We all have typos, chill out.

To sum up Hajamin's eventful return to Lusternia, he should change his suffix and prefix to:
Intellegent Hajamin, The Golden Lord with a Mangled Leg
