Nothing makes them immune to blackout

I'm refering to the almost extinct breed of mages called runists, my friend. I'm not taking blackout into effect.

Geomancy instakill, 3 power (I think) that kills you if you don't move in about 9 seconds. They're debating what stops people from moving in said 9 seconds.

The best instakill. Almost but not quite entirely unstoppable; several guilds have no ability whatever that can stop it, in fact. No setup conditions except being there in the demesne. The only counter for most people is leaving, and those who cannot tumble can be prevented from that with a few walls. The cost? The same as an ability that delays hunger for a few minutes. Less than half the cost of an attack that does less damage than swinging.

okay...so all it does is plop some unlucky victim into a bottomless pit? sounds nasty....if it pulls off.

Assuming a gyfu rune is fused, and all demesne effects up, its hard for anyone with roll, leap or tumble to get out (near impossible).

Runists have a way. Along with a few other choice archetypes.

Yeah, rad rune, shyness, ing rune, laeg rune.

Well, a bottomless pit, sure, but then the pit closes. Anyway, it's an ugly death.

All tarot users have a way to stop chasm other than leaving the room, but it's still kinda hard to pull off if you're unconscious all the time.
