What lead me to have that on my clipboard is an amusing but inappropriate story that I won't be telling.

Ruins of n'Aryanvella
Terrain: Jungle
Usable plants: Linseed, endive, quince.
Other plants: Crab-apple trees, orange trees, coconut trees, larch trees, roses, papaya trees, lilies, banana trees,
Wildlife: Marmosets, monkies.
Area traits: Within this area are the ruins of what appears to have been a great temple. It is completely overgrown with weeds and other, more useful plants. The monkies seem to have the run of the place. It's hard to find ones way through as most of the paths are choked off.
Other notes: No sign of extermination, overharvesting or fire.

Noctiel Glades
Terrain: Natural underground, forest.
Usable plants: Toadstool, maidenhair, myrrh, orphine, nightshade, ginger, laurel, primrose.
Other plants: Willow, oak, redwood, morning glory flowers.
Wildlife:piranhas, hummingbirds, sabre tooth tigers, squirrels, salamanders, pegasus, centaurs, butterflies.
Area traits: The beauty of this area makes it worth the danger to visit. Creatures of mystery, such as sprites, inhabit the forest.
Other notes: No sign of extermination, overharvesting or fire.

Eastern Nolmines
Terrain: Mountains
Usable plants: Lovage
Other plants: Pine, thorn bushes.
Wildlife: Goats, horned owls.
Area traits: There is little life on this desolate mountain. The cold climate and lack of shelter against the wind, make it hard for all but the hardiest of plants to survive. The most prominent plants are pine trees.
Other notes: No sign of extermination, overharvesting or fire.

I was copying my the report for my last task of Hunter apprenticeship onto a letter to send to Risca and Catira. *twiddle* (Imperian)

By varying the specific sound or pattern of sounds being played back, differing meanings can be relayed, such as success, erroneous input, or any other applicable response.

Perhaps the most intensive use of audio feedback in human computer interaction can be found in modern computer games. Games these days are created with the ability to take advantage of sophisticated audio hardware technology. Two such technologies include surround sound, used to provide directional audio such that you can actually determine the relative direction that the sound was emitted from, or environmental effects such as variances in sound wave reverberation and reflection, which are used to enhance the realism of the audio atmosphere in changing environments such as small rooms or large caverns.

Yes. That was me showing a friend and laughing about how Narsrim was raiding Angkrag and I was the only person around, and how I had to go anyways. Fun times.

Silvanus has been slain by the might of Aqua Adept Trysalis Saros.
The voice of Avechna whispers in your mind, accusing you of aiding Trysalis in
killing Silvanus and warns you about initiating combat with Silvanus again.

During my years of doing various types of star readings I have pushed a philosophy of fate dictated by the stars.  This fate was the type of fate that one experiences in front of the highest court of law, where once the judge declares the verdict your fate is sealed, and normally there is little you can do about it.  However, over time I have discovered that the readings that I conduct are about 70% accurate.  This accuracy has translated not only into the future of the person I have read, but also in knowing things about their character that a stranger such as myself should not know.  I do not believe this accuracy is do to any special song that the Stars do or do not sing, but rather the power of the Sight that a reader may use to understand how one’s own self-determination sets the path one will take in the future and how that self-determined route might stay the same once a person feels that such self-determination no longer exists.

Understanding how this works is best explained with a concrete example; however, first I will define a few things.  Self-determination is different than free will.  Free will is the ability to make choices based on your own internal reasons; self-determination however applies to making choices that end in the results you desired.  For example, free will allows me to choose to harvest herbs.  However, only self-determination allows me to harvest those herbs when my back or arms are not broken.  No matter how broken my bones, free will is not diminished, but self-determination is.
Absence of Self-determination is the perception that a person does not have a choice in their own future.  There are normally several reasons for this perceived absence of Self-determination.  One is an oppressive government, oppressive social circles, and belief in what the future will bring.  The cause of these beliefs are numerous, and often are caused by past experiences, however whether the absence of self-determination is real, such as in an oppressive government, or is merely the result of a belief, the affect is the same.

To examine the complete role of Self-determination within a person’s life, I find that example and allegory are best.  Since any hypothetical person we can create can be easily dismissed in such an essay, I will use myself as an example. I am now old enough that any hidden thoughts I had as a young pup will not damage my reputation.

When reading the stars of a person, there are two basic questions: When were you born, and more importantly Where were you born? The date of ones birth is inconsequential in self-determination, however, it is an important question to ask first, so that the person you are asking the question of, begins to feel comfortable in a mindset where there is an absence of self-determination.  The second question may sound to the untrained to be a question that also has nothing to do with self-determination; however I hope to show the opposite.  By asking a person to self describe where they were born, is to in essence ask a person “With which location in the world, do you most connect with your beginning of life?”  In the case of myself, I would say, I was born in a cave in the Celidon.  While this is true, it shows that I have a strong connection to my familial roots.  I could have said, ‘I was born in Celidon,’ which would imply a strong connection to the organization I belong to.  Of course I could have also answered, I was raised in the open forest, or even, I was born in the woods south of Kinsarmar.  All such answers reveal to a person with the Sight different aspects of one’s personality because of self-determinsm.  Once a reader sees how someone self-defines themselves, they can see which path of self-determination a person chooses to live.  In the context of a star reading, self-determination is often not thought about.  Because the person being read often loses a sense of self-determination, the things you tell them appear, anecdotally, to have a greater likely hood of happening in the future.  This would seem to imply that the more a person feels an absence of self-determination the more likely they will in fact end up doing what others think they should or will do.  This is a very important concept for people who actively practice in the use of the Sight.  The reason for this is that a person who feels they can not affect their future will become agreeable to those who feel they can determine the lives of others.  Thus when someone suggests that the only way that A can happen is to do X, the person will figure out how to do A until it does X even if normally most people would not do it that way.  Often times, not having self-determination will actually produce more ingenious techniques and resolutions to a problem.  The ramifications of this are that a person’s future will often be mapped by the amount of self-determination they believe to have.  One’s choices that are made when possessing self-determination also reflect the inner character that each person has.  When trying to shroud oneself from Sight, knowing how others can and might interpret your actions can help you keep your true self from being seen.  It is therefore important when using the Sight to keep in mind the degree to which self-determination creates future, and reveals character.

Actually, Catira changed it quite a bit. Both Arbs and Hunters have awlays had some sort of patrol requirement.
