Alright, after poking around this is what I've found about Taurians:
-They are feared in groups and normally folks try to keep them seperate.
-There has only been two occassions that the Taurians have gathered in dangerous numbers: during the times of the Stampede Massacres, and during the Taint wars as part of Ladantine's army.
-Fain favors Taurian among other races (according to His help file, not sure if he has changed it), I am not sure why but I am speculating that it is due to their ferocity?
-Taurians where at some point involved within the Ur'Guard.
-For the most part Taurians worked as mercenaries, hence the Taurian Mercenaries
-Probably the Herd was in the tradition of being led by powerful females: matriarch (i.e: Meldoonia Sher).
That is all the information I've got about Taurians. What I fail to do is being able to locate them geographically. Nor do I have seen much about Taurian history...
Though I've come to believe that the Taurians probably at some point were originated around the area of the Oleanvir Valley. Not sure why, I just linking Taurians to open spaces. *shrug*
Also, I am not pretty sure what the Stampede Massacre really involve, other than a large number of gathered taurians in a collective frenzy. I am pretty sure Chaos was unleashed and many deaths came forth, or else it wouldn't be a Massacre.
Anyhow, regarding the fame of the Taurians that people probably do like their services as mercenaries, that people dislike them on big groups and oft times try to keep them seperate... the Taurians evidently still possessed the means to gather around in groups. But how difficult was this actually? Were Taurian tribes slaughtered by frightened groups as a way to try to disperse them and keep them controllable in small numbers, or what?
Whatever the case, I woud at least like to see a place of provenience for the Taurians. Or at least some landmarks scattered around the Basin telling of the Taurian's origins, and witness of the Taurian Herd's potential doom of being nomadic at some point in time.
For this reason is that I've come with the "idea" of the Ancestral Caverns, a place were Taurians could gather, at least in small groups, to pass information to the general Taurian population. Maybe throughout the Basin there could be some hidden caverns with Taurian related remnants. Paintings on the wall, rusty weapons, signs of sacrifice or satiation of their violent nature, hieroglyphics... things that denote the Tauran's presence and ancestry during the times the Great Herd was scattered.

It's a good idea, though I find it hard to imagine a Taurian living in a cave. Maybe a small section of Oleanvir, which is pretty redundant right now.

I'm pretty sure the Taurian are female-dominated. All of the ur'Guard guards in Magnagora are female Taurians, as are the Taurian pilgrims.

Those caves would be like hide-outs for small groups of Taurians. Used as gathering spot for Taurian groups reunite and leave messages for other nomadic Taurian tribes that would happen to take temporal refuge on those caverns. You know, a place private for Taurians that helped them stay in touch with one another, on times when they were oppressed while being in groups.
