I was talking to someone yesterday, and I came across an interesting point. The constant whining here (CONSTANT) makes is so that the Divine focus on other things, like... reading the forum to see what we'll whine about next. They promptly go to fix that, only to find someone else has an opinion.
OMFGNOOOO, squirrel totem is BROKEN!!
Stuff like that.
Petty stuff.
I'd appreciate comments on this subject, especially ones telling me I'm right. Refer to my signature if there are any questions about what I really mean.

Yeah. Less moaning, more Glomdoring
Unknown2005-03-17 21:11:26
Yes. Less whining, more... Guido.

Less whining = more time for the Gods to do Thier jobs.
Though, I'll admit, without whining we wouldn't get Roark pwning Narsrim.

Honestly, I see it as more of a draw for people to go AFK, due to incessent bickering between parties. There's always some debate from Magnagora about how Serenwilde are such lamers and can't RP, or whatever, and then as a result people in Serenwilde have to defend themselves or vice-versa. And then there's a devolution of thread beyond that about how alchemy is such or whatever one of the parties decides to start talking about.
This place needs more moderation. We're all tired of the same old arguments.

Silvanus2005-03-17 21:33:34
Nevermind! I found it! I just ran a search on incessent.

Isn't it a glorious quote?
It actually got me to make this thread. We whine too much.

Anyone else finds this extremely funny?
Richter2005-03-17 23:07:24
Reminds me of Fain's "Denied". So matter of fact, to the point, yet hilarious.
Shiri2005-03-17 23:15:13
Yay!

I like the whining people do here, it allows me to play the game without logging in when I'm in places I can't log into.
And for the record, people here have convinced me that I can no longer say what is good or bad RP, however in the real world, when Russia removes the free press from thier country, people shout the equivalent of 'bad rp' to Russia. I just wish I knew what the better argument for it would be, since in reality, Russians are actually russians and there is nothing they can do about it, but in Lusternia there is everything they can do about it.
And on that note.. CELEST, FIX YOUR RP!

They don't shout anything, for fear of the Secret police (was it Gestapo? Or was that Germany?)
Unknown2005-03-18 02:17:48
Germany.

I'm trying! I'm trying! It's hard to turn around a boat that big with my inner tube.
Oh, and Daganev...stop complaining!
Unknown2005-03-18 02:18:08
You're the history genius, Silvanus.
Gestapo is Germany. Russia is... KGB?

Daganev2005-03-18 04:14:33
And yet both are "secret police"
Rashidat2005-03-18 07:04:54
KGB was intelligence. NKVD was the secret police. They were much worse than the Gestopo. At least in Germany you know who they were going after. In Russia it was more of a random process. Come the end of the month and they be out trying to reach their quota.
Anyway...
Oh. Yeah. Less whining.
