Subj: Political Upheaval in the Village of Estelbar

This day, the Village of Estelbar has pledged its support and resources to the
Collective of Serenwilde.

Fickle little creatures, aren't they?

The fact that Magnagora was influencing also is just a tad bit fishy. I'm not sure what happened in Dairuchi, but I think influencing is messed up.

Our demesne might've helped a bit, but...that's right, it was darn fast. Then again we had about 10 influencers in almost instantly, all CR4+. I think we were lucky this time.

Meh. I've been trying Demesne influencing and I swear it's made stuff uninfluenceable for me... sad.gif

Oh, and while we're at it, the denizens in Estelbar are a LOT LOT LOT easier to influence than just about -anywhere- else. Except possibly Angkrag/Acknor, but I've never done them, so I wouldn't know. The only even REMOTELY tough one is Yojimbo - everyone else is super easy.

Hmmm. I haven't noticed any big gap in difficulty between them and, say, Rockholm.

I definately have. It took like 8 things to get Bruno, Billa, Melbini, Hopliti, and not even that for the farmers.
By comparison, I lost to Glugnus, and the dwarves take me a couple moments. Maybe it's just an illusion, but I've influenced quite a bit and this is consistent.

I really only influence for villages, not for other things (just not very IC for me), and for that, for me, it's always taken about the same number of turns. Don't know what to say. Maybe you gain advantages in Estelbar because of being a furrikin, or something. (I always wondered if I would get one for rescuing farmers hundreds of times, back when I used to do that constantly, and it never seemed I did; but those furrikin are notoriously short of memory.)

I only influence for villages, too. I don't THINK I get any bonuses for being Furrikin, though. Maybe I do. I hadn't thought of that. If I do, it's not written anywhere. *squint*

Influencing is not broken. We simply nailed it. Doesn't matter whether or not Magnagora managed to snag a few denizens, if we get the vast majority, the village will sway to us. I've seen Mag influence a village in record time. Nothing broken there. Just prepared, I say.

Being on the other side, has given me a new prospective, and 15 minutes is far too fast. Especially when you can have a demense up beforehand.
