You slip into a sleeveless green midriff shirt.

You find it difficult to put on a set of flowing smoke grey robes while wearing
a sleeveless green midriff shirt.

I donno... if I had a full plate, I'd want to wear some kind of a tunic and long underpants under my armour to prevent chafing.

But that's just me...

BTW: How do you change your post ranking names now that I've reached Trans?

And sometimes I wanna go for the Superman motive. You know tights and then briefs.

Meh, whiners, the lot of you. What do you need pants for? I don't believe in pants.

Kilts are acceptable though. And remember: real men wear nothing under their kilt. ninja.gif

I made a post on this issue about two or three months ago. My issue was that you couldn't wear pants/shirts under greatrobes, and while you could wear underpants, they showed through when people looked at you. I suggested it be changed so that either you didn't see underwear worn under the greatrobes, or that you be able to wear other clothes under it.

I understand why you can't wear armour and greatrobes at the same time, obviously this makes sense. But not being able to wear other clothes is just annoying, and negates the purpose of people being able to design special greatrobes if there's going to be no aesthetic roleplaying benefit to what you wear (ie. just facts and figures, better stats only).

Hehe, reminds me of when I first stepped through the Portal....I felt like the pants that were given to us all were a little chafing...so I buy undies, try to put them on (yes I removed the pants first) and guess what? It wouldn't let me wear them with the pants. So I had to choose chafing, or running around in my panties. (guess which one I chose *inno*)

Hmm... well, IRL, *most* metal armor is worn over a some kind of padded clothing. I know, cause I have a set myself.
Chainmail, for instance, while heavy and not worth sh.., hm, anything against heavier swords and maces (cause they'll break your bones), but can be quite effective when worn over a padded vest. (Not as effective as plate armor, of course, but anyway.) Of course, you'll get cooked in the desert, but in the winter it would be two hares killed with single shot.
And wearing vest + chainmail + breastplate, for instance, not uncommon.
Not sure about greatrobes and stuff, though. I've never seen em (ingame too), so cannot judge. Perhaps they need a contact with skin of something to function... whatever they do smile.gif.
By the way, can mages wear metal armor here, and if not, why? Becausee they simply cannot, or because it'll be somehow detrimental for them?
