If this was the change to essence gathering, then wasn't Serenwilde's pixie quest downgraded along with the essence?

But, no. They take light/dark essence and drop it down Moon Falls, and then put the silvery essence in the Moonhart.

Perhaps Totems could be dropped to compensate, or perhaps, pixies, considering that it's childsplay to actually get those pixies; compared to gathering sand, or to a much greater extent, spiking.

I used to be obsessed with spiking. I'd get like 200 spikes a day.

Made a crapload of money, and flew up through the levels.

But yeah, you've gotta be real weird. :/ Pixies are sooooooooooooo easy in comparison. You can be level 1. You cannot, however, be level 1 and do the spiking quest. You'll die. Lots.

Not to mention that with how time consuming it is just to gather said spectres (Before actually starting the actual questing inside the city, mind you), you have people always out to jump you.

I'm sorry, but I think it's just a tad easier to escape while gathering pixies or sand, considering half the people who try to jump you, wait until you're hitting a spectre. For anyone of fairly low level, trying to help your city, you're toast. At level 69, as a lich at night, with an int blessing, it could take me about 5 cosmicfires for a man/woman, 4 for a kid, 8-9 for a paladin/important spectre like the gardener, Rudzine, enso on.

Really? I dropped the kids in like one cast, and men and women in about three. Paladins, it was never a set amount.

And yes, this was after I became a Nihilist, at levels 60-70.


Edit: I forgot, I would always get like crushing critical hits on them. That's probably why. Heh.
