My only problem with Dreamweaving

Back to Common Grounds.

It would have been rather nice to have advance warning, so shops weren't cleared out immediately while people were sleeping.
Unknown2005-03-20 05:46:30
Now when you say "shops" do you mean your shop? ninja.gif

Could've sworn eye sigils prevented that.
Bricriu2005-03-20 05:47:19
Apparently, they are not.
Unknown2005-03-20 05:48:40
Despite that, eye sigils were not necessary yesterday. They are now. Advance warning would have been somewhat appreciated.
Silvanus2005-03-20 05:49:21
Eye sigils give some protection, according to our trans Dreamweavers in Magnagora.

Eye sigils weren't necessary when people could become ghosts and enter stockrooms? tongue.gif

You shouldn't blame the admin for you being ill-prepared. It's like insurance. I'm sorry you're missing stuff, but eh..
Unknown2005-03-20 05:54:08
Perhaps tomorrow I'll get a skill that if you aren't wielding a master paint palette, I can steal your pack.

Your fault you weren't protected.

I'm Magnagoran - ghost isn't something to be feared.
Bricriu2005-03-20 05:54:32
Eye sigils don't apparently always stop them, anyhow.
Unknown2005-03-20 05:55:26
Which would be the kicker, because I thought I had an eye.
Veonira2005-03-20 06:09:04
Agreed, mainly because Magnagorans had no need for eye sigils, and because some of us didn't immediately consider the fact people could steal, we didn't immediately spring for new eyes. Thus, lots of gold and commodities gone. Le'sigh! Life goes on.
Silvanus2005-03-20 06:11:43
Magnagoran shops did have eye sigils in them, but dreamwalkers still got through the eye sigils and stole.
Elryn2005-03-20 06:13:36
It was fixed almost immediately, however, so that eye sigil did stop it.
Unknown2005-03-20 06:14:13
Too late for most. Damage has been done.
Bricriu2005-03-20 06:14:27
I certainly hope whoever did abuse such a misweave returns the items or is punished. biggrin.gif
Elryn2005-03-20 06:17:53
I don't think it was a misweave, just an oversight. And yes, seems a bit awful to steal from unsuspecting shopowners while things aren't quite right.

Elryn2005-03-20 06:20:41
Can't rogues lich?
Unknown2005-03-20 06:23:30
Meh.

Everyone else has had their shops raided, bout time Magnagora got the same.
Unknown2005-03-20 06:25:41
So, Quidgyboo, would I be justified in going on a theft spree for packs to help make up for my 150k+ loss?

as much as this may be construed as hijacking - I don't believe two 'wrongs' make a right in this case. Thievery is thievery, no matter who does it. I really hope that no Celest citizens were running around stealing, it seems very un-light for them to do so.

(Queue someone justifying how it is "right" for the light to steal from the taint to complete the hijacking.)
