My only problem with Dreamweaving

Making an ability to see all people dreamwalking would ruin the point of dreamwalking. That is, stealth. However, there needs to be a few adjustments into how you can kill dreamwalkers, etc, since it is rather difficult.

Here is what I think..

1) Kether/Violet need more damage. 700 a blow doesn't cut it.

2) Bodysnap should not work on eye sigils, like coalesce.

3) You should not be able to DREAMWEAVE LEAVEBODY in a Divine saferoom.

4) Eye sigils should not stop movement, but instead slow it, like a fall tarot. "You begin to struggle through the ethereal force to the north."

That's all I can think of at the moment. Perhaps allow Indigo/Chockmah to have a secondary mode, where you can, for a VERY high mana/willpower drain, see those who are dreamwalking enter and leave, rather then just a one time reveal.

Edit: And I don't think you should be able to DREAMWEAVE LEAVEBODY while sleeping on an eye sigil either.

Is that with or without trans magic?

It's not enough, either way. More damage against dreamwalkers!!!!!

Yes, kill that person sleeping at their nexus with 20 guards! It can be done!

My answer had nothing to do with trying to kill the person. I was just giving information on how the dreamweaver's body could be easily located.

Agree with it all, except #2 - perhaps give it a delay?

Also, maybe Kether/Violet should be percentage-based? Meh.

They can't drink health when kether goes off, so it shouldn't do massive damage.

I think chockmah should have a very low balance time associated with it however. Against one person, they see you chockmah, and can leave before you get eq back to try and kether them.

If they leave, they aren't attacking you anymore... sounds like a win/win to me.
Shamarah2005-03-21 02:19:05
They can come back. And besides, you don't get the satisfaction like you'd want to.
Bricriu2005-03-21 02:19:34
If they're an enemy in your city, them just leaving the room isn't win.

The point then, is to kill them.
Rhysus2005-03-21 02:46:38
And if you can't easily, then they are obviously overpowered.
Bricriu2005-03-21 02:58:45
Rhysus, despite the fact there is a misweave working with that I won't mention here....bah. No. It's not worth it. *shoo Rhysus*

Obviously.

Sometimes it is best to just ignore the obviously biased people on the boards. You can't force a person to see reason, when he/she would prefer to be blinded by his/her own one-sided view.

Guh, that whole thing about shops being robbed. I got a letter with a bunch of packs hidden in packs, etc. I eventually got to a pack with about 6-7 packs in it, about 5 of those containing a heap of assorted objects. Some of them seem to be from my shop (like the packs that I had recently sewn or the slings someone gave me)...but half of it I've never seen before ohmy.gif. Did this..happen to anyone else? I'm wondering if I got all of Magnagora's missing junk or what. The letter was blank too :/
