Still proves my point about info getting to the wrong ears, Silvanus.
Bricriu2005-03-20 19:26:15
Ignore Revan, Kaerv. He rarely knows what is going on anyhow, being too busy with his buddeeh Athana.
Llexyn2005-03-20 19:53:16
For the Geomancers, here's what happened:
Llexyn, Revan and Arilyon were possessed.
Revan and Arilyon heard the voices.
Silvanus found the first chip.
Daevos found the second chip.
Yukari found the third chip.
Tenqual and Iza found the fourth chip.
Ixchilgal found the fifth chip.
Veonira, Llexyn, Revan, Ixchilgal, Iza, Hallen and Yukari were present to find the citadel.
With combined effort to kill the sparkling wind - Veonira, Llexyn and Revan attacked it. Ixchilgal, Hallen, Yukari and Iza reflected. Revan dealt the killing blow.
I think that's about all the names I remember.

Being possessed... spiffy. Someone should post a whole log of what was going, a log made out of logs of different people to broaden the perspective and completion would be great.
I want to be possessed... can a Dreamweaver make me abandon the corporeal so a wicked soul may possess my body? Imo, Dreamweaving has to be the best skill out there. Harstoners+Stag+Totems+Dreamweaving=Masters.

Speaking of knowing what you're talking about, you might want to try that yourself, Bricriu.
He has called the Geomancers, the entire guild in fact, idiots. Torak followed suit. Now, being that this is an OOC forum, and his statements were presumably OOC, and my character's intelligence reflects on my own, I can only draw the logical conclusion that he was calling me (And in fact, the player of every Geomancer) an idiot.
As for him being an egotistical little - he is. He really needs to get over himself, IC and OOC. So do you, for that matter. And sure, I'll be honest, so do I. But back to the subject at hand, he was slinging mud, I retaliated.
And back to the -actual- subject on hand...I don't know much. I've got what I -think- is all the dreams for the Geomancers copied down, if anyone needs them for a historical recounting of this event. (Note, they aren't in the order as presented in game)

I was not aware I was egotistical. Infact, I've never acted egotistical. I think you just have a messed up perception of things.

I was also the one who had the idea to search the gravedigger area for the fourth tablet.

Pff, I was the one that said it though!

I seem to remember searching the gravedigger area with Jasper, Munsia, and a few others while trying to find the third tablet. Though it was Gwynevere's idea! So hah to both of ya.
Edit: Wait a second. We were searching it for the fourth tablet, because the third had been found while I was sleeping. We killed a couple of gravediggers, and the queen- found nothing, left. It really was on one of the gravediggers? Argh!
Niara2005-03-20 22:54:27
Considering how often you managed to get removed from Magnagora, your guild and whatever I think that it has to be your attitude or something else, Silvanus, that gets you into such situations.
Silvanus2005-03-20 23:03:29
Not quite
This is the Geomancer leadership who banned speaking of it to anyone, even from the city, even from Daevos. My loyalty is to the city and not the guild.
Edit: I think I win!
You are an enemy of: Serenwilde, Lisaera, Kelpies, Estelbar, Acknor, Delport,
Rockholm, Southgard, Angkrag, Celestia, Celest, Aquamancers, Geomancers,
Celestines, Isune, Faethorn, Terentia, Tosha.

All you've demonstrated, Silvanus, is that you aren't loyal to anyone but yourself. And even that's questionable, at times.
And on a side note, by your arguements...if I felt it was good for the city, I could just meld up the entire place and start killing anyone I felt was a threat, citizen or not. Regardless of the rules. It shouldn't matter, because it's good for the city!
And as a side bonus, maybe Bricriu will city favour me for breaking the rules. *Shrugs*

Well.. Ixchilgal, when everyone but the Geomancers and even some Geomancers agree with you, that it is for the better of the city, then I'll assume I'm right.
Llexyn said on council she thinks it'd be best for the city to be involved, but Veonira and Revan had protested it.

Llexyn2005-03-21 02:06:53
Meh, so it's clear MY thoughts on the whole "ban the city from knowing" crap...
Llexyn didn't mind the city knowing. She did want at least Daevos to be able to witness the whole ordeal. What she DIDN'T want was the entire city, not of the Geomancers, taking over the whole event. And that was what the entire struggle and conflict was about but because no one would take the time to listen to the Geomancers request, they were bashed and called idiots and accused of letting their pride and ego get in the way of something that was "for the city". Well, we all found out it wasn't for the city and I sure hope the other citizens, who aren't Geomancers, feel a little foolish.
It wasn't directed to the cities, beneficial or not. It was directed towards three guilds. When it came down to Nihilists forcing Geomancers to sleep to have more dreams and the ur'Guards persistently pushing them to give them the next dream for the clue to the next chip, so the WHOLE CITY COULD SEARCH, then it became a problem.
And from an OOC viewpoint - the Geomancers are looked down upon by the other guilds in the city. They aren't slaves to them but if you look back at all the times that there were raids and a lot of fighting going on, these were the "demands" the Geomancers received: "I need a Geo to come and taint here!", "Geos! Come taint and meld this room!" and "Geos! You better start tainting and melding! Or else!"
It looks to me like the city of Magnagora as a whole better start respecting and realizing that they are merely plain old citizens without a GEOMANCER to taint for them while they fight.
The Geomancers may not be as powerful, alone, as one ur'Guard but it would be nice to be appreciated more than it seems that they have been in the past...
One can only hope that this whole perception of them changes or there could be far worse outcomes than simple internal conflict of power.

You think it's just Geomancers that are bossed around? Like I've said The Aquamancers are Celest's Janitors.
But we kinded needed our cities help when I was the only one around or when Daevos n company kept killing us when we got near spectre Isle.

Huh? From what I understood, it was something all of us agreed to. I never "protested" telling the city. There was no convincing being done to not tell the city, we all had pretty much the same idea. And it didn't start out like that, it was when things started getting out of hand. I wasn't even here for most of it. The only times I was around were when we found the second chip, and then when we spent hours looking for the fourth and fifth ones up until we got our new skill, so I actually missed most of the city involvement and was going off of what people told me. I was also annoyed that Silvanus didn't want to tell the entire guild because of one person he didn't like, yet felt entirely comfortable telling people outside of the guild. Yes, that's what annoyed me ICly.
OOCly, yes obviously the best choice would be to have people outside the guild help. It's not that I wanted to exclude everyone, and the entire time I knew that we would most likely have already finished our task WAY before we did if we had other people helping. It just made sense for Geomancers to want to prove themselves and do it on their own, so I went with that roleplay. And in fact, I'm happy with the way it turned out, although I would have preferred that Silvanus didn't leave the guild. I -really- don't like when things turn ugly and when I'm put in the position to take a stand and punish people or whatever, probably because I tend to forgive and forget rather easily. Buut, I always enjoy things between Geomancers and the city , it makes for a grand old time.
Silvanus2005-03-21 03:53:28
I told the Council, big differnce to a person suspected of defiling shrines of the Patron of Magnagora to the COuncil. Llexyn did say, twice on Council, that'd she would've preferred the Council knowing. Eventually Llexyn and Daevos struck a deal that the city will know everything after all the chips were found.
Veonira2005-03-21 03:56:56
All I can say is, don't you love hindsight bias?
Thorgal2005-03-21 11:31:06
IC: As far as I remember, Silvanus has always been extremely loyal to Magnagora, from day one to the present day, even when he got kicked out he stayed loyal and helped us, he worked his ass off for any project, died countless times for the city.
OOC: I don't give a damn really, unlike in Achaea, a guild here is nothing without its city. I don't understand where they think to get the right to force Silvanus forgetting his skills, it's just none of their business. A guild here is just a political faction that groups a bunch of people with common archetypes, easing their job to help and serve the city. That is how Lusternia designed guilds to be, we should leave the guildrelated powermongering where it belongs, the other IRE games, not here.
