I know, but I'm afraid that is definitely out. Dreamwalkers are deliberately meant to stay grounded, by design.

What if you fall asleep in the trees? :/
Elryn2005-03-22 11:56:09
You'd best hope you have bodysnap.
Shiri2005-03-22 11:58:02
Hm. Best make it impossible to dreamsleep in the trees then. tongue.gif
Elryn2005-03-22 12:21:50
Why not that you can't sleep in trees at all? *hum*
Shiri2005-03-22 12:24:16
That would make sense. You'd just fall out if you tried.

As for how easily they could detect you, this isn't really the case unless the person has near trans lowmagic/highmagic. Both indigo/violet at in the fabled -> mythical range of lowmagic. Furthermore, you wouldn't need to run if you were just against one person. Munsia can drain back health as fast as I can dish it out with Violet. However, you were hit by a group of people... and thus, you died fast. This tends to apply to all situations.

Skills are meant to balance at Transcendent. As such, I don't find it a considerable leap to find it awkward that one ability held by one person can more or less completely nullify the intended purpose of an entire skillset. To this end I think we need a new ability in Dreamweaving.

REM Wave
Syntax: DREAMWEAVE REMWAVE

Allowing your consciousness to drift into the deepest regions of the Dream World, your Dreambody will become entirely undetectable by those in corporeal form. While you will find yourself unimpeded by physical constructs in this state, you will also be entirely unable to interact with objects outside the Dream World.

Basically kills your ability to be offensive entirely, in exchange for the ability to walk through doors and not be detected. Would also keep you stuck in this form until you either ran out of willpower or united with your body, no snapping or coalescing.

No, I think indigo and violet/kether are fine as they are. There should be some defence against dreamers, I just don't think it needs to be excessive.
Shiri2005-03-22 13:19:57
Good idea. happy.gif (Also, there's no cure for tiredness, right? Just checking. Those mists are deathly slow, but if you stay there too long they'll nail you bad.)

And you just compared finding the location of every dreamform in an area to the abilities we have that allow us to find corporeal people.  If they're just as easy to detect, WHAT IS THE POINT?

If the only way a skill has a point is if it has no counter, I expect you to forget all your other skills now, because they all have a counter.
Sylphas2005-03-22 19:39:59
I'm not even going to bother, you're obviously not listening.
Manjanaia2005-03-22 19:44:31
There is a cure for tiredness. Sleeping. Just coz you don't do it much tongue.gif
