Prismatic barrier should stop it.

Errr......I've watched Tuek die to being summoned into guards.
In fact, I recommended Nali for a city favour for it, because Narsrim immediately fled Angkrag after that, thusly ending a raid that nobody else in the city had been able to halt until she showed up with her Demesne.
And all was well.

I know I've summoned a lot of people. I don't know if I ever got Tuek or Narsrim though. I know I've summoned them into guards but dern Serpent always ruins my plans. I had a nice summon on Ethelon who had Tharruk and someone else following. I hate Moondancers and Hartstone, they have so much resistance it's not even worth wasting power trying to summon them. So I just stick to summoning Thaddeus into my trap whenever it's set up.

The fact that you haven't given him status and thus haven't killed him so far doesn't stop you trying again?
Genos2005-03-23 03:04:39
Well, it doesn't matter to Genos who kills him, the point is he dies...

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't think before I posted.

I can't help but think that serpent is in for a downgrade. Prismatic barrier that you can move around with up? Teleport to nexus with up? Sheesh.
And meanwhile, highmagic's equivalent is like raa, +1 strength for mages and no one can enter your demesne! (geburah and greater pent)

Woah woah, hold on. I have NEVER been summoned from Angkrag into guards... at least never been summoned and died. I think I would remember that of all things.
Ixchilgal2005-03-23 17:56:38
It was either you or Narsrim which died to it. I remember Nali -finally- getting on, because she had Angkrag melded, with an arm of the Demesne stretching into Lich gate. She got a couple of Demesne effects going (Lodestone and Rockslide, I beleive it was), then started summoning. Pulled one of you in, who died, and then the other immediately fled the village.
Now, I may have gotten mixed up which one of you it was, but I clearly remember the incident, because I requested Bricriu cityfavour her for single-handedly putting an end to the raid, which up until that point, we hadn't been able to stop due not having many people who could actually fight about at the time.
Also the fact that someone finally managed to summon one of you just suprised the hell outta me.

This is why you make people dissolve when they leave, at least if it's in a village. If I had to wait around for someone to log on because Rockholm was being raided, I'd be rather angry.

It costs 10p and lasts for 60 seconds. To be able to cast Serpent, one must be meet all of the requirements for most skills/spells:
It will not work if:
- you have broken limbs
- bound
- paralyzed
- frozen
- prone
- stunned
- off balance/eq
- etc
Compare this to trueheal which gives full health/mana/ego, cures all afflictions, cures all wounds, and gives a prismatic barrier that fades upon any action other than who/look/tell/say.
The only thing that stops trueheal is being stunned. That's is. I fail to see how Serpent is "above and beyond" other trans abilities.
Ixchilgal2005-03-23 20:45:32
Yeah, we do make people dissolve now, unless they're only going to be gone for a little while.
